What do u think about the new (lower) chase music ?

Hey lads!

My question is in the Discussion Title. I am playing more killer lately and this lower chase music is rly nice to have imo. What do u guys think ? Didn't play survivor since patch so I can't tell how this affects survivor gameplay.

I played a few games yesterday with my surround system. I could not hear any chase music at all. All other sounds also seemed "wrong". e.g. chainsaw sounds or spirit phase walk. I nearly could not hear those sounds either.

I will try it with my headphones today, maybe that is better.

I tested it on the PTB and thought it was a bug, obviously I was wrong.

I like a low, dim chase music.

Although the sound on ps4 seems to be bugged and deceptive, at least with susie legion.

i dont like it it takes away so much of the atmosphere

but i think the sounds are broken anyway not only chase music

It's funny cause a lot of people wanted this change and now that it's happened everyone's mad still. Give the devs a break.

I like it a lot.... I dont feel like I'm directly next slash's amplifier on full blast..... I wear headphones and for killer you need to have the sound turned up in order hear the slightest movement or breathing and while the chase music is going on ya didnt hear anything whatsoever because it so damn loud.... now its actually quite perfect..... for the chase music...

@Boosted_Dwight wouldn't say no one, glad my ear drums don't have to get destroyed anymore

It's great but in all honesty it may be a little to quiet. But I can hear survivors breathing! That's huge. Self care is my terror radius I dare you, nurses is a wasted perk slot now lol I can hear your cries of pain and you rubbing your belly hahah

My chase music seems normal. It's not to loud and not to quiet. I guess it's a bug for a few people, cuz in some streams/videos of content creators it was almost not noticeable while on others it sounded normal.

Love it. I don't need to hear the chase music. I need to hear the survivors.

I much prefer the quieter music, i don't need it blaring in my ears for me to know/care that a "scary" killer is trying to kill me.

When the music is so loud that its hard to think, there's an issue.

I love it, hopefully they keep it that way

I can finally play survivor with no headphones without having to grab the remote and turn down the volume everytime i get into a chase

It's balanced poorly with all other sounds. While it was too loud before the balance overall was better.

I haven't played killer since the update but i hate it when playing Survivor. I hope they give players an option to adjust it for themselves.

I like it; the muted tone lets me know I'm in a chase, while still allowing me to hear other events and adapting to them if necessary.

With headphones it's perfect because I can keep the volume high. Without headphones its too quiet.

I think they should put it about 25% louder than it is right now. I don't want to go back to blaring music and silent survivors.

I retract my statement from before.

It's fine. My volume on my headset was just too low lmao

    frankly i'm glad it's lower

i remember games where i'd run right past the open hatch because the blaring chase music prevented me from hearing it

it would also often prevent me from hearing huntress wind her hatchets up

Very Great and perfect with headphone for both killer and survivor side

You can hear your favorite survivor breathing too. Nea's breathing ASMR

But some of sounds are glitchy. Sometime i can't hear Nurse's blink sound and Doctor's madness tier-up sound are very loud like there's gunshot near in your ears

It ruins the intensity of the chase.

Not to mention, it has ruined other sounds like the Wraiths Bone Clapper addon (the one that makes a global bing bong) which makes it barely noticeable.

There is some strange imbalance of sounds.

It is a nice change to play killer now that u get a free 5th perk (stridor) making it a little easier to play this game.

On ps4 it’s very bad.. i can only hear heartbit and if i want to hear chase music then i neex to volume up considerably which makes ALL other sounds too f*cking loud.

Haven't been able to play yet, on vacation, but I'll be back later today.

Otherwise, it sounds good from what I've heard. As a spirit main, I like it.

As a survivor the game feels boring, easy as that. The chase music was what hold the immersion together in this game and now that its gone i hate playing survivor.

As a killer its great, i can hear everything now very easy and it makes it impossible for a survivor to juke, even with iron will.

You can barely hear the music with headphones on. Maybe turn it up a little more and maybe give us a sound cue when we jump into a chase or spot a survivor. It's a step in the right direction as I always thought the music was a little on the loud side.
