Can I be banned for camping?

So I know this is sort of a hot button issue, since survivors don't enjoy being camped and I really don't like actually camping. But can I actually be banned for camping if enough reports flow in?
Just to preface, I don't really enjoy camping that much but it works versus altruistic survivors.

I'm starting to get worried though, because I had a nea from previous lobbies in my game and they're known for following me around to do unhooks the moment I leave. They're also packing a flashlight and d-strike to make it very un-fun to try and deal with them.
So what incentive do I ever have to leave, and then everyone else gets mad at me in the post game lobby because I really don't want to give free un-hooks to some toxic survivor.

I don't have NOED on some of my characters, so I have no way to deter gen rushers from hook bombing me post generators, and I don't have Hex: ruin at all so all the games I play are just gross gen rushes without me being able to apply much map pressure.
Point is, I really don't want to play useless games where everyone just gets out and I felt like I was just the crotchety old man chasing kids off his lawn which is an awful lot of dumb busywork and 0 enjoyment.
I know the huge cube is around the corner, but I still want to keep playing killer until the big rebalance happens...am I gonna be able to do that without getting banned though.

Bonus props for the using the word crotchety lol! But no, camping is a viable strategy but you won't earn very many BPs and it comes across as toxic behavior because people like to do it just be an ass. Its a strategy that ruins the match for everyone and is greatly frowned upon, but something has to first be considered an offense before it can be a ban worthy one. Implementing. Face camping ino your strategy is not even an offense... Don't let people talking ######### make you worry 😊

No, you can't be banned for camping. You can only be banned for:

    • Cheating/Hacking
    • Extremely toxic chat (death threats and the like)
    • Holding the game hostage
    • Too many DCs
    • Griefing (for example, if you target the same player over and over again and make their trials as annoying as possible)
    • Stream sniping

    I think that's everything.

I think #4 must be broken on PS4.

Im a survivor main, and honestly, if a survivor is being toxic they deserve to be camped. All the taunting, and flashlight spamming, sabo hooks in front your face to stop you from hooking someone. I hate those survivors. But i also hate being camped because i dont do any of those things and it makes it unfun for me. But the good have to suffer for the bad.

I wonder how often killers are accused of camping when they're being tailed by survivors or trying to defend the hook when it's immediately rushed.

The best part is they were calling me racist things in post game chat, and in the same breath were saying I was going to get banned from them reporting me.
I'm pretty sure racist language would get them banned no?

Camping isn't a bannable offense (devs even stated this on one of their streams) it is a VERY good tactic to secure kills especially on over altruistic players but the bloodpoint gains are less as you aren't chasing or rehooking. I personally don't proxy camp (being nearby the hooked player) unless it's a toxic survivor or the gens were repaired too fast. Just remember.. at times, you have to do what is necessary to safety pip or have a chance at even playing the game you bought.

I’m not gonna go into some philosophical “you go girl” crap. I’m gonna do what should of been done, give a simple answer. No.

What's funny is toxic or salty survivors will take any chance they can to try and fool you into thinking camping is bannable, however it simply is not bannable. It's actually bannable for them to falsely report people for camping constantly.
