Will you play The Ghost Face after the hotfix?
On paper it sounds like he'll be pretty weak. If they make breaking him out consistent he will be back to being countered by having him on your screen for 1.8 seconds.
Sounds like a basic M1 killer with the ability to locate survivors easily and will on occasion get a stalk if survivors aren't paying attention.
I don't really mind the stalking marked survivors bit that i agree with but the PTB proved easily breaking him out makes him pointless.

I don't understand why anyone would buy him at this point, you guys are basically telling the devs that nerfing a Killer that the community deemed mediocre right after release is OK.

lol play him? hell when this nerf was announced i was instantly put off buying him. they claimed no more knee jerk reactions like when they butchered freddy. its literally that scenario all over again. i hope the devs learn from this and stop rushing out content and actually test it. this patch has more bugs longer than my arm or what i could write on it lol.

I'm going to say no. Now that he is adjusted to a more fair level the killer mains will not play him because he might actually require some skill now.
But people who just chill and play for fun will obviously keep playing him for his unique playstile of course.

Probably not. He already wasn't red rank viable in his current state. After this "hotfix" he is gonna get bullied so hard.
It's Freddy all over again. The worst part is the community actually got to overwhelming tell them not to do it this time and they're still going ahead with it.

Yeah i really thought about buying her but after her PTB and post PTB nerfs I lost all interest.

if they buff him later when the hotfix comes in then yes but i wont play with him since hes weak and with the new nerf he will take freddy place
the mayority ppl want some buffs for him and the things that i want to see its:
1.-remove the detection for hooked survivors and downed
2.-do something about detection if theres a survivor behind a wall they cannot reveal gf or behind a rock the reason its that its stupid that gf cannot stalk that especific survivor but that survivor can reveal him its unfair on my opinion
3.-the detection should be in especific meters i had a couple of games with him and a survivor can reveal me from far away
4.- remove the sounds hes suppose to be a stealth killer i dont really understand about having noises ppl think ooh you can hear myers deep breath but you can hear him like 3m or 4m minimum and pig you cannot hear her only if shes trying to do the ambush attack
5.-all detection perks shouldnt work against stealth killer its just ruin the killer play style
6.- he needs something to have some map preassure or good mobility so many ppl had this idea and its make another power for gf that he can tp locker to locker he can also see lockers auras so he can have some map preassure or make that if someone its marked he gets some speed buff make him similar way than myers when he goes to T3

Kinda shows never buy a killer right off the bat, wait to see what there gonna adjust it too a little. Feels like anti-consumer practices honestly or close to it I suppose, when you provide a product and then quickly degrade its quality after purchase; which if you want competitive killers that is kinda the outcome... a degrade if quality. Not saying balancing stuff is bad mind you, but I would think even survivors would like something besides nurse billy and the occasional huntress in the upper ranks. Really they should be the power level to generally aim for.

Yes. These changes are nothing, legit microscopic and this outcry is ridiculous.
If they made his power have a cooldown or be only available when crouched, then yes, I would say that is bullshit, but the changes he's getting are not very big.
Do I think he needs it?
Well, recharging the mark during a chase is ridiculous, so that should get fixed. And his overall should be looked at, currently, it's very buggy. Sometimes you might be looking at him for 10 years and no reveal, and sometimes you get revealed from 100 miles away, among other things.

I bought him with some left over Auric cells I had and P3 him in a couple of days. If this 'hotfix' goes through, he'll be collecting dust for me.

Overpowered and strong are two completely different things. Aside from that, not a single Killer main ever demanded that a new Killer must be overpowered. It's only ever Survivor mains the likes of you that claim that in order to push your agenda of Killer mains across the board being utterly biased people that won't their kills handed to them.
It's a weak attempt to get the game to accommodate to your needs and apparent lack of proper skill, by constantly playing the victim card. Killers are big bad bullies that need to be nerfed. I think that summarises your premise quite well, don't you think?
That honestly saddens me, as it shows that you and unfortunately many (not all, but many) Survivor mains belong to a generation of gamers that can't be bothered to get good at a game any more and instead demand, not request, demand from the developers of I guess any given game, to adjust it in ways that makes it possible to play it at a minimum level of skill, ruining the experience for seasoned, experienced and truly skilled players, just because you have grown so entitled to getting the easy way out of things. That doesn't speak for a generation of gamers, but also for a generation of inept people, that cannot adjust to changes, simply because they apparently never had the need to do that.
Gone way overboard with this, but it had to be said at some point. You, people like you, and developers listening to people like you, have destroyed so much, not just in Dead by Daylight, but also in many other online multiplayer games and it's spreading even. Deathgarden for example already has an evergrowing bunch of entitled Scavengers, that play a close second fiddle to entitled Survivors. For that, I honestly and truly dislike you. I do hope, that some day, the devs of DbD and the devs of other games facing similar entitlement-issues, will eventually get back to their senses.

I still think he will be fine. The changes seemed minor (unless they nerfed him again since last I read about it) unfortunately in a game like this, there will always be a few characters that are better than others (Nurse,Billy, P3 Claudette playing immersive) Ghost Face is still fun imo.

Nope cuz hes a fake..not the actual ghost face..just like Freddy Michael or Leather Face...but honestly you need to penalize the killer for babysitting..just sayin its hella dumb to let them camp right by a hooked survivor without be subjected to a penalty like the survivors are when theu stay still to long..Literally my only beef...Being a killer in this game is already to E Z..Trust any complaining thats its too hard to use simply suck at the game in general..Keep the great work up guys

I play both sides and people that are overcrying about the GhostFace changes are clearly biased and obviously want free kills since Ghostface is already pretty strong.
(Some people are suggesting that Ghostface shouldn't be able to be knocked out of his power ,so yeah,people are suggesting OP things for GF)

There's a big reason why I do not believe that you play both sides, at least not to the same extent. Never has anyone but a biased Survivor main claimed that all that Killer players want are OP Killers and free kills.
As far as I'm concerned, you're a Survivor main that at best plays low-ranked Killer games, stomping noobs and newcomers and thus believing that all Killers besides the actual top-tiered ones are strong, viable and dictate the outcome of a trial in even matches.

Wanting a killer that grows with your skill level and allows you to challenge and possibly beat the best survivors is not asking for much. A fair chance to compete is all most killers are asking for (while playing a variety of killers, not just three).
Ghostface is carried by the license alone, and that's it. I can't imagine plague did as well, especially after the news of her underwhelming state started to become more common.

it should be yeah instead of a glorified circus clown. alot of people want a killer to be powerful and be able to do the job not played around with or messed with. the game should be balanced around red ranks a killer is suppose to be the power role but i learned along time ago thats not how dbd is. survivor is the power role .... lol why the ######### would anyone be happy when a killer does not have the tools needed to do the job. think about it.

GF is viable. Just not at top tier. Every killer won't be balanced at the same level, ever. Their powers are too diverse to balance it completely.
Some will be op, some will be fun, some will be both.
And why play GF when Billy exists? Because I dont like Billy. I dont enjoy playing Billy.

Unless the dlc for ghostface is on sale for anything between the 1.50-2.00 price range then hell no. I don't support the idea that a killer is going to be nerfed so soon after release. Especially when you think about it GF is another w+m1 killer, with a power thats controlled by survivors, which is why plauge being played is so rare.

This is giving us PTB 1 ghost face by making detection zone bigger for more consistent removal of his power.
Making him legitimately useless. Ghost Face from the meme videos calling him joke face will be back.

I'm calling it nerf because GF power is easily able to be denied by attentiveness, or spinechill/OoO/Preminition, the changes they said look like it might make it easier to break him out of stalk. How can i not see that as a nerf?

You just want every killer to be nurse or Billy level so nobody has a chance EXCEPT red rank survivors. As Ghostface will be fine.

I wouldn't say a total disaster yet. That 8% change to detection range might not be a real game changer, but we don't know yet.
GF would still be great at mindgame potential at certain loops, so still viable. Never underestimate the power of the mindgame.
