Why does Ghost Face get nerfed?
I don't quite understand it. I was under the impression that everyone agreed that Ghost Face was fine? I mean, as people are starting to figure out that he is rather easily countered, he's starting not to look very good anymore anyway. Why nerf him now?
This isn't a rage thread. I just genuinely want to understand the dev's reasoning behind this decision, seeing as everyone appears to be equally confused.

He is broken on console, xbox for a fact. Literally staring and pointing at him, I'm unable to break him out of his power, it's ridiculous. I have video evidence as I'm sure many here does as well. Pc don't seem to have that issue from watching the top streamers.

For the same reason why Freddy and Nurse got gutted mere days after their releases: because survivors whined the house down.

So ? Does it need a nerf ? No it absolutely doesn't. It needs a fix. The devs have to work on the detection system, not stupidly nerfing gf to avoid fixing the real issues.
You should detect him, you shouldn't make it so that he get detected by other things than you. Making it wider to detect him is just useless if the whole detection system is broken.
They call it a "hotfix" but it's more like a "we don't know what to do because we don't want to fix our games that has been bugged for years".

I have had him chasing me while I'm staring him down the entire time and I can't reveal him. Yes, I know how to keep his face in the center of my screen.
It's very iffy. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

pS4 player here and he is not working and intended we can have a stare down, gf directly in the center of my screen, and he can expose me every time. As the killer, same experience from the other side. May be working on Pc, but he’s not on PS4.

Because us console users have specific platform issues that should be addressed separately. What you may be seeing is latency, which has a larger impact on console. It is more frequent for the detection to not work on console compared to PC, just because of design issues from both the game itself and the console. They need to start taking us into consideration if they want people to play it on Switch.
