Here we go...
Welp just got a DBD update on my ps4 can't help but think it is the atrocious "hot-break" the devs are trying to force on us, seriously way to turn GF into an even worse M1 (because Imo he was already there) lol where do I go to request a refund

I dunno man, I'm gonna check the patch notes n' get back to you before trying to condem or defend the GF
2 -
@AetherBytes do you lay on ps4? If so we can run a kyf catch and release to see how it affected him chase wise, and stalk wise
1 -
Here we go indeed. Right on schedule for the doomsayers on this forum to proclaim Ghostface is dead, BHVR is incompetent, etc, while the entire rest of the community will continue to enjoy him.
3 -
Lmao only 3 things changed were beneficial to him everything else changed is like "hey you're never going to get to do those three things" he is dead face it, biggest slap in the face is to the close stalkers who would run GFCOT, with NVM add-ons for the lean stalks but hey you're right this totally made him better... In no way at all
2 -
gasp now you can't stalk out in the open mid chase with the survivor looking directly at you ghostface is dead everyone go home
5 -
Remember when we played, Ghostface was easily loopable, he is useless besides his stalk. I hear they are removing his sound of Night Shroud so you won't get any notifications of him sneaking up to you, also remember when you Claudette'd me so many times.
2 -
Exactly removing the sound was 1 thing good for him btw I'm on rn wanna show everyone exactly how broken he Is now?

Lmao it was already easy to break him out mid chase just survivors refused to learn the skill
1 -
I am happy about being easier to remove Gf power in an easier way.
It's really frustrating to look at Gf behind a window fivr meters away from him and fail to remove the power

yeah if only the survivors had adapted to clunky mechanics that worked in unintended ways, like ghostface exposing you by standing in the open as you look at him and your own character model blocking it
this is just baseless whining, ghostface is fine
2 -
Do you often play freddy? often play huntress or plague? If so then you never should have had a problem breaking him also IMO you'd prefer to be further away from him when breaking him out 5m is too close but that is a skill issue
0 -
Lmao never had that issue myself maybe it is an operator error because if everyone who did realize where the center was confirms its easy to knock him out then it is easy but hey lets make a video proving how horrendous they made him
1 -
@TrueKn1ghtmar3 I think they fixed the wrong issue. The range center was fine but they are right times it would proc because of stupid camera angle. The angle was odd the survivors head almost had to block ghostface for it to work as intended. Which made you see nothing which was the problem people generally put him in the middle of the screen, but not at that angle.

@Jdsgames I never had to cover him with my head maybe that was the survivors issue?

I had to plenty of times and I only have been running dwight. It seems to have been a hit and miss situation. However, once getting use to it ghostface was not 'impossible' to break out. Hence me saying the angle should change not the range.
1 -
The range didn't change, the sweet spot changed it is now wider
1 -
Well the sweet spot is technically a range of visibility. I know thinking distance range my bad. I know what I was meaning range to be should have clarified.

Just finished four rounds at rank 2, two as Ghost Face, two as survivor.
My findings so far is that he is pretty much a joke. He was already easy to break out of stealth before, now it's almost back to what it was in the first PTB. I think anyone higher than green ranks will have little difficulty in deactivating his Night Shroud.
Removing his static noises while in stealth was a good move, but he's still quite noisy. His boots and clothes are still very loud. Why give Pig proper stealth but not poor Ghost Face?
Idk. Seems like another garbage M1 killer. Very little chase and mind-game potential, even with the improved stealth. I'll keep playing and see if my verdict changes, but it's not looking great.

Currently making a video with same finings at rank 12

They nerfed an aspect of GF's addon-ons that weren't fair, but buffed onme that wasn't fair for him...it's fine.

I didn't even realise that being able to constantly mark someone in a chase was a bug, did think it was a little BS that he could do that.
1 -
he was and still is my main. but its just because i like his style, he is just a M1 killer, nothing else and this nerf definitely didnt help him. im tired of playing nurse of hillbilly to get actual 4ks on red ranks honestly

Never played huntress so you are probably right, but I enjoy how it works now

Based on my experiences in high rank play - yes - his mindgame potential is poor.
I'm specifically talking about mindgames at loops. I don't really consider breaking line-of-sight a mindgame, it's also something a survivor will expect if they're going against Ghost Face. Good survivors will also barely let him use Night Shroud, anyway.
Pig is actually the superior choice for LoS mindgames because she is actually silent when she goes into stealth.
He's a little better at loops now that the devs removed his static noise, but he still makes a good bit of noise, and switched-on survivors won't be fooled by his "stealth". Funnily enough, before it was removed, the omni-directional noise on his static actually made it easier to tell where he was.
