Can't old Freddy stay?
Hello folks!
I am of the opinion that the rework will help Freddy a lot. With the current Freddy I can't do much on red ranks (without strong addons). But there seem to be some people who really like the current Freddy. This is not the first rework they are doing, but this change is different from the other ones. Here we get a completely different killer who has almost nothing to do with the old Freddy.
Couldn't we keep the old Freddy AND add the new one? You should be able to switch between two abilities (in the killer menu) somehow.

I think I know what u mean. The developers once mentioned that Freddy is a very "strong" killer in the low ranks, because new players are overwhelmed with his ability.

Could someone link to where the Freddy rework details are (if they exist yet)? I’m curious what to expect when this happens. I just can’t find where official details are, only chatter from users.

Why are you all fighting change so much? He could be better than current Freddy, I doubt they would put so much effort into reworking his power just for him to be worse than what he is currently.

Personally, I like the idea. If absolutely nothing else, they should make it an option in KYF. Then when people feel like playing old school Freddy for the nostalgia factor at least there is an option.

I have a funny feeling, going by the Netflix tease, that the next killer will be the Demogorgan and it’s power will involve the upside down dimension which will function similarly to the dream world.

That's not how this works and I can't imagine the devs would even consider it. If they were going to allow you to swap back to the old power then they wouldn't even bother making a new power to begin with. It would be a complete waste of time.

I don't use Freddy, but i would hate if a killer that i like the way it is was changed. Might be cool for Freddy users to have the option of playing the old way or the new way. But I don't thing that's happening :(

Yes, I like both Freddys: why should the wise Developers delete a character made with hard work? New Freddy, old Freddy: make your choice, and have fun! :)

The new way isn't that bad can't really tell much of a difference but I'd love it if y'all brought in an add on for the Robert Englund version he's my absolute favorite Freddy

I want the old Freddy to be kept but to be the Robert Englund Freddy. The new nerfed Freddy can be the rubbish newer one.
There's a whole load of strategy to Freddy that will be lost forever.

It's not just that. I can talk only for myself, but personally I can't stand anything of him.
I have no problem surviving him, mind you, but he's the incarnation of "you can run, but you can't hide" (which I hate) and matches with him feels so random with little to no control that it's all but fun for me.
I have a feeling if they allowed people to play old Freddy, survivor would just dc to not play against him since there would be a funnier version around.
