Do you buy all the DLCs?
Just curious, nothing more. I find myself tending to buy them as they release nowadays simply because I already have the DLC collection so far, so why not? Well, sans Ghostface, but that's because I was away from the game, but will likely do so soon.
How about you? Do you tend to buy them all? Just some? How come?

Heck yeah! Iām going to buy Ghostface when I get the chance and I buy them because I like getting every character for variety reasons.

@GrootDude I hear ya. I even bought Ash even though I've yet to dive into playing Survivor.
2 -
Personally I only buy DLC if I'm sure I'm going to like playing the killer. I've bought killers before who I didn't realize were so weak like the doctor which I never use anymore So i'm a bit cautious.
There's also the fact that new Killers often get changed a lot and sometimes not for the better, like plauge I would've bought her on release but she got nerfed. After that I tend to wait a month or so now to make a decision on if I'm going to get a new DLC or not.
3 -
I do as long as they interest me a little. The only one I got and NEVER use is plague.
2 -
@Carpemortum Same here. I just can't get into Plague at all. I also can't use Nurse because the blinking for some reason makes me physically nauseous. But at least she was free.
2 -
Yeah I dont play her much. But i do a little. Plague is like lvl 5 lol.
1 -
@Carpemortum my plague is also lvl 5, never really got interested in playing her.
2 -
Yeah it sucks, it's not that shes underpowered, I just cant get into her. But I need her teachables lol.
3 -
@Carpemortum I don't play every killer. But I will dump BP into them since I'm not trying to rank up, so don't usually use Add-Ons and whatnot right now for those I do play. I still need Hag's teachables, and will eventually just save up 1 million BP and start dumping into her. I suck at playing her, so usually don't.
2 -
I'm a simple man...I only buy the ones I am legitimately interested in.
3 -
I used to blindly support them, but now i prefer to wait at least a week, then check out EVERYTHING in the DLC before buying it, then buy it, if i decide to that is.
2 -
I like the variety. So yes.
The only DLC I don't actually have are the cosmetic DLCs.
2 -
I didn't buy Ghostface cause I read on the patch notes that he was going to be nerfed.
4 -
Yes. This was the 2nd game i just feel like i need to 100% in terms of achievements. Also new playstyles are coo

I've bought every dlc and the only one I've regret buying is Plague but at least it came with Jane :D
My fav survivor dlc right now is Ash because I love the show!
As for killer it's gotta be Pig or Myers.
2 -
@Boosted_Dwight Yeah, Plague is the only one I really regret so far.
As far as Ash, I'm just now about to finally leap into the Survivor end of the pool, but bought him the day of release. I grew-up on Evil Dead (I'm 46) and loved the Ash vs Evil Dead show. One of the few shows I actually bought the DvD seasons for, just to keep on the shelf with the three Evil Dead films.
3 -
Yes,I will buy the Ash's DLC when I get the chance.
I need to use new MoM now that it isnt pure cancer anynore.
Im also interested in Buckle Up.
:D

I do, donāt have PTB on console so itās a bit all or nothing now that new killers arenāt getting splinters for trying them out (which should just be an optional free 1 match test/demo really due to the price of the splinters and most only want to try once, stops them from reappearing in the bloodweb) the only one so far Iām having a little regret on is legion overall but that came ages after the dlc was out and now requires a long wait to see if they get a useful ability/buff change later on. Theyāre not bad just not fun or unique.
I thought it would be plague and Jane due to the average perks and average killer but Iāve recently picked up plague seriously and she does have some potential to me, poised is also pretty good mid chase.
Ghostface matches are a little weird for me as they make me really tense and a little aggressive sometimes (mostly the survivor break out thing if Iām trying to target/mark someone else and some random just approaches out of nowhere, I end up going for them out of spite for taking my power then returning to my chill once Iāve hooked them...and Iām still learning so thatās probably why, might get better as I adapt) but he is fun in a few more aspects than plague or legion so thereās that... basically if something seems broken on release (like the legions exploits etc) Iām going to consider holding off for a bit next time š

@Kilmeran I'm new to the Evil Dead franchise but so far I'm loving it. I just finished the show on Netflix and I'm so sad to hear they discontinued season 4. I'm planning on watching every film soon :D

*broken like the legions exploits etc geez that reads so bad with a typo š

@Boosted_Dwight Just remember that the first one is serious, the second started going the humor route, and the third one is straight up humor like the show.
1 -
Yes. Considering this is my main game, I will usually buy all the dlc content.
1 -
I only buy licensed characters, the others I buy with Iredescent shards.
2 -
Not any more. Ghost Face is the first DLC I did not buy and will not buy.
3 -
Characters yes, cosmetics no. Theres always at least one perk for each new character that is useful for anyone.
0 -
@semaj_leachim Yeah, I should have specified that I meant characters. This is also the only game I have played where I have zero interest in cosmetics.

Also remember that Army of Darkness is a work of art.
2 -
So you bought plague and legion but refuse to buy GF who is arguably better balanced than both of them?

I also tend to collect dlcs, besides the few (mostly) I am really not interested in.
That means for dbd, if I would still playing the game, that I would have bought nearly every dlc by now, besides the Plague dlc and the Ashley dlc.
But behavior needed to release the Legion rework and so I had decided to completed my Hearts of Iron 4, Stellaris and Pathfinder: Kingmaker dlc collection instead^^.

Yes. I like this game too much to not have all characters available.
1 -
i wish. :pensive:

Yup. As soon as it's available :)

I buy all of the DLC. Some of them have been bought twice.
On the PS4, I have them all except for Ghostface.
Last year I switched the Xbox One X, and bought Ghostface. I also re-bought Leatherface, Michael Myers, Freddy, and The Spirit.
Sooner, or later I will re-buy the rest.
1 -
No. I'll buy the DLCs that are worth it. Gotta reward good behavior.
3 -
I have every one of the DLCs including the head case

I buy all of the DLC because I want the cosmetics and the chapters are cheaper than buying each character separately. I also want to be able to play new characters the moment they come out and I am a trophy hunter.

I know this is just a weak attempt of yours to try and get a stab at me, but I'll humour you.
I bought Darkness Among Us for Jeff, not Legion. Incidentally, since his rework and playing him like I'd play Spirit, I quite enjoy playing as Legion and might consider making him my new main. Nevertheless, Legion was a disappointment and still is if you play him like, well, Legion.
I bought Demise of the Unfaithful because I very much enjoyed the PTB Plague and was very much looking forward to a new upper mid-tier Killer. Like many others, I got let down by the devs nerfing her in the spots that hurt her viability the most.
Ghost Face suffers from the same philosophy that made the devs create Legion and Plague: "fun" for Survivors (Legion) and a power that is in the control of Survivors (Plague).
You said arguably better balanced and I would like to emphasise the "arguably", which is why I do not support Ghost Face and probably never will. It's quite possible that I also won't support the Killer of the next Chapter, should the devs continue with their new philosophy.
It's possible that you'll ignore this since you have a personal problem with me, but I don't care too much. I mostly typed this up for anyone else that would be interested in my actual reasoning for not supporting Ghost Face.

After plague i stop and i dont want or buy ghost face or next one.Hell no way for what 3 perks wher 1 is almost usesfull and killer who got nerf on start or 2 weeks after relase. Also dont forgot about rework after 2 years.
3 -
I tend to stick with buying the killer side of the dlc only in exception to Jeff and Laurie.
1 -
same and now he got nerfed again LOL any stun it seems knocks him out of night shroud his power .... talk about plain stupid.
2 -
Slowly buying all killers and survivors possible with iridescent shards. I don't spend money in games besides getting Dead by Daylight (why I am here) and Life is Strange. Going to take at least 1 year, but worth it!

Always bought DLCs when they came out, even when I wasn`t playing the game much.
New killers are usually fun to play at first few days, when nobody knows how to counter them
3 -
Last one I bought with money was Spirit/Adam.
Then I put zero hours on Adam.
Bought Jeff with shards. No way I'm ever paying for Legion.
No Plague or Ghostface, either. And I'm not convinced about them.

@DocOctober and @Larcz I'll be honest, since I came back for however long this time, I've been hesitant to buy Ghostface, despite it being the only character DLC I don't yet own. Plague felt like a waste of money. I bought Legion a whopping three weeks before they announced they were gutting him (and original Legion was fun). And though I wasn't here back then, like everyone else I am well aware of the Freddy fiasco.
Hell, despite the fact that it needed it, MoM, a pay-to-play, perk was nerfed. What bothers me is that it was nerfed several months later, at about the time the shelf life for a DLC would be diminishing because the initial player base run of spending money on it was already done.
I have an issue trusting BHVR on DLCs at this point. It's the same issue I ran into with Heroes of the Storm and Blizzard: A new hero would release, would generally be OP, and after the sales run would have died down, they nerfed them to hell.
At this point, Ghostface might only be worth it because with my limited play time and rank resets, I will never get past the very beginning of green ranks, so what's high-tier doesn't apply to me. Hell, for not playing for a few months, I'm already "rank reset" back into the gray ranks as it is. So, the fact that I am generally always low ranked might be the only thing to make Ghostface worth buying.
Now, if the creature from Stranger Things is a planned DLC, that might be the first one that I hard-skip. Nice show, but I have zero interest in playing it as a DBD killer. None whatsoever.

I usually love to do steam reviews, so i'm obligated to buy them
1 -
Not anymore. I will not buy GF. Rest of DLC is buy if I think I will like them.
