Not crazy about a Stranger Things crossover
Everyone has been talking about this Stranger Things crossover into Dead by Daylight and how it could be the next chapter, but as the title says, I don't particularly find this interesting. I never watched the show because I never found a reason to so I don't know a single thing about it and I'm sure I'm not the only one. Of course if they add in a new survivor and killer I will be excited to see how they perform, but I just don't feel as interested as if it were someone from a movie that most people know. Maybe I'm alone though. Is there anyone else who isn't crazy about this new crossover?

I just started watching stranger things i actually am on episode 4 and so far im enjoying the show id like to see a crossover i could see how it would be pretty cool.

The reasons I never started watching it are because 1. like I said above, I never found a reason to 2. I was told by a lot of people that it was over-hyped and not worth it 3. My Netflix membership expired a long time ago and I don't feel the need to renew it for one show. But hey, hope you enjoy the show and that the crossover (assuming we get one) is all you want it to be!

@Crazewtboy Add me to the list of not interested in a Stranger Things crossover. I was unimpressed with the show, and I'm even someone who was actually a kid in the 80s, when it takes place (I was born in '72).
I do think the show was over-hyped based purely on that 80s nostalgia factor. All in all, I didn't find the show all that great nor original.

I couldn't get to the end of the first episode, so count me in too. I am not big fun of Ash either so I never got him.

Your friends were right. It was incredibly overhyped. Bunch of freaking eight year olds running prattling on for hours, and "ooh our kiddy friend has superpowers"
But hey there's a dog with a genital face.
Honestly it just doesn't belong in dbd, dbd's for horror not that fantasy crap.

Got him just for the perks and the satisfaction of having all the DLC content.

We still have fantasy stuff in DBD such as the Wraith cloaking, but if what you say is accurate, it seems like TOO MUCH fantasy for the game. I think if they are going to do licensed characters they should stick to popular movies like they have been doing so far that most people have seen and enjoy such as Halloween, Nightmare on Elm Street, Saw, etc. I've seen other people suggest ideas from slasher movies that other people have seen. But even if they don't go through with those suggestions, the option for original characters is always there and personally I like the original characters better. They aren't restricted to whatever was displayed in a movie.

Then watch the show then?
How can you dislike anything witjoyt actually giving it a chance.
And if you do give it a chance don't say "I hate it cause its popular or mainstream " thats just a cop-out.
Stranger things is just a a tame version of silent hill and a girl with "abilities"

@BadMrFrosty I don't see Jeepers Creepers ever happening. It was mentioned before here at the forums, and there was a significant outcry against it due to the creator's sexual predator history. Hell, that history even got the third film pulled from screenings by theaters.
The fact that given the creator's history, they used a child molestation plot-line in #3 also added fuel to the fire.
I'm not advocating for or against the Jeepers Creepers franchise, as I keep my personal opinions private. I'm just stating what's what with it.

im hoping its just an event but idk since fortnite just started their event

Itd probably be easier to lobby for something that wasnt created by a child molester.

with the confirmation of the collaboration between fortnite and stranger things, we can hypothesize that if there will be a chapter, the survivor will be Hopper :)

The first episode of Stranger Things bored me to death. I couldn't watch the show even if I tried :/

I mean you dont technically have to have a netflix account but id rather not explain that but i understand its a show thats not for everyone as far as overhyped eh i could see that being a thing most things are.

Original characters are better than licensed characters most of the time. Why? Because idk, their characters are made for the game and therefore the characters have more personality and their lore is much more fun. Rin will always be more interesting than Myers. Sorry.

And some people didn't find SAW or one othe other licensed characters interesting. Thing is, IF there is a Stranger Things chapter, then it would fit into the game as much as other licences, because the show had darker subplot inspired by typical 80s horror etc.
I also disagree that original killers are more interesting than licensed ones. Myers is a great and beloved killer in the game e.g. while other original killers look kinda "meh" in comparison. Both can be done good or bad.

It's kind of the perfect crossover. In season one of stranger things the Kids fight back against the Monster just like a team in DBD against the killer.

That’s nice OP but who said you have to like every DLC? Millions of people adore Stranger Things and many DbD fans have asked for this.
I don’t care for SAW but understand why it’s in the game: it’s popular.
