This is a killer idea I hadn’t inspired from the movie Us. I hope you enjoy!

The Doppelgänger

Lore: Adelaide was 6 when that fateful night at the boardwalk occurred. She was separated from her parents and stumbled upon a house of mirrors. Going inside, the power went out halfway in.Stumbling around in the dark, the only thing Adelaide could see were her reflections. Bumping into one, she turned around. But it was not her reflection she bumped into; it was her. The reflection, her doppelgänger, dragged her down deep into a string of tunnels. Left chained up to a bed post, Adelaide wept and fell asleep. Years passed and Adelaide’s mental ability deteriorated. She was no longer the child she once was, and her name was now “Red”. She was accepted by the underground society, a strange collection of mirror images of everyone on the surface world, all twisted in unique ways. None of them knew what the surface was like, but she did. Thinking harder than any of them had ever considered before, she concocted a plan, a massive scheme, to raid the surface world and begin the “Detethering” process by killing their normal counterparts. Red almost succeeded in killing her counterpart, but she was defeated by her. With one final crack of the neck as a chain went around Red’s neck, everything went black. What felt like a lifetime later, Red awoke. She was not dead, and she was not in the tunnels nor above ground. She was in the woods, somewhere. Wherever it was it was not Santa Cruz. Red stumbled across a line shack and decided to try and live in it. It was the first time she had ever been somewhere new, and didn’t know what to make of it. Time passed, and Red came to discover that there were others living in this new place. Something inside Red made her angry; These were clearly other people, but when she looked at them from the trees she only saw Adelaide. There were new people here in this new place, and they needed detethering.

Speed: 115% (4.6 m/s)

Terror Radius: 24 meters.

Weapon: Golden Scissors. A pair of extremely sharp golden scissors given to every tethered being. Makes de-tethering easy and maybe even fun. On hit, The Doppelgänger will open and close the scissors twice then wipe the blood off the blades.

Power: One In The Same: A mere reflection of her other self, she has the ability to shafeshift and morph herself at will. One In The Same allows The Doppelgänger to select a survivor within range, similar to Dream Demon. Selecting a survivor will begin to transform The Doppelgänger into that survivor, which completely reduces her Terror Radius, though survivors extremely close by will faintly hear her whistling. While disguised;

-You look exactly like the survivor you selected.

-Attacking, picking up a survivor, checking a locker performing the break action or using the ability while the Deception bar isn’t full will reveal you from your disguise.

Being near survivors while disguised will fill your Deception meter, which increases more the more survivors are near. Once full, you gain the ability you use your ability while disguised again, which will;

-All nearby survivors appear to be The Doppelgänger to each other.

-Broken pallets appear illusionary.

This effect persists for 20 seconds.

Teachable Perks:

Malfunction: You bring crippling destruction to machinery that worsens over time. Once a generator has regressed 20%/15%/15%, a survivor beginning to work on it will cause it to explode with no additional regression. Regression happens 15%/15%/30% faster.

Kakorrhaphiophobia: The very thought of failing The Entity fills you with such a fear that you must not fail, and will do whatever it takes to please it. You start the trial with 3 tokens. Pressing the Active Ability button will use up a token and cause you to fling yourself forward in a lunge at 207.5% speed (Or 8.3 m/s). This lunge ignores stuns and considerably affects the survivor with the Hemorrhage status effect until healed.

Flawed Opportunities: When your prey makes a mistake, you can capitalize off of it and seize the chance of catching them. They resist and hold it back, but The Doppelgänger pulls the blade back and plunged it into their neck, as well as ripping it through. She then tosses the body to the ground.
