Just wonder what people think about camping. Is it salty behavior? Is it cheating?

Nope, valid strategy even the devs acknowledged that along side tunneling. Although, if the game was balanced you wouldn't want to use these tactics.

If your on Freddy, the last gen pops, you don't have Noed because you have self respect and you didn't kill the obsession for Remember Me (or you didn't bring it) then face camping is all you have left. Hopefully Freddies Nerf / Buff isn't too much of a nerf next patch.

Survivors who camp hooks for unsafe rescues is also pretty toxic for everyone involved, Killer and the victim being 'rescued' from the hook.

Besides Freddy because it's really all he has, face camping is generally a combination of bad sportsmanship and the sign of a bad killer.

Yeah i agree with this, there are moments where camping is a strategy and there are moments where it is just being salty

There is no right or wrong answer.

You're the killer. You do what you have to do for the kill.

One time I got camped so hard that I ended up dying on my first hook. I was really salty at first but after reading end game chat, the killer did have a point. My teammates were being too altruistic that there was really no point for the killer to be anywhere else.

Now this is an example of a salty survivor spreading toxic survivor's propaganda.

"you don't have Noed because you have self respect"

"face camping is generally a combination of bad sportsmanship and the sign of a bad killer."

Don't make me laugh. We killers play the game in whatever way we like. We don't care if survivors think camping is salty, toxic or bad sportmanship we will do what we want.

@RoKrueger I honestly feel like your acting out some sort of character here... When you said "Dont make me laugh" I legit visualized a movie villain. While the comment on NOED is kinda dumb...its a perk, use it if you want, overall, he has a point. If someone looped you for 3 gens, so you resort to revving your Cannibal chainsaw above their head for 2 minutes til they die on first hook... Thats abit much.

That being said though, I DO think its funny what some consider camping. I was recently called a camper for hooking someone between the last 3 gens, and then not walking to a completely empty area AWAY from said gens.

@LordGlint "I honestly feel like your acting out some sort of character here"

    Yeah, kind of ;-)

I like to point out the ridiculousness of entitled survivor players that pretend that killers follow their silly made up rules.

I try to empower my fellow killer players so they understand they don't have to accept being bullied by those kind of survivors.

Also I am kind of a dick and I love it ;-)

I'm sure someone considers it salty. In fact, I'm sure you could grab any behavior, attach an adjective, and someone, somewhere would consider it that.

Dont forget TT now shows if the entire teams gonna rush since no red gens

@RoKrueger I dont really feel like its empowering anyone, but rather just promoting an "Us VS Them" mentallity. It typically just leads to any ideas "They" bring up must just be bias (insert side) main talk. While being a killer main, with about a 90-10 split, I have no problem discussing things like balance while at least ATTEMPTING to be fair towards both sides. Us vs Them mentality just squashes that

    Getting camped sucks.

But it is a strategy that sometimes can work out in your fav

Face Camping with Freddy, the only killer that literally cannot prevent unhooks.

Solid strategy with one upvote to boot.

    LOL

@Raccoon Yeah, I remember a team too scared to go for the unhook so they stayed on the opposite side of the map, where there was no gens. Tagged someone to sleep them around the middle building, which prompted them to rush for an unhook. Ran after them for APPARENTLY 7.1 seconds and managed to get a hook grab as soon as they fell asleep. Still was called a camper.
