End game right now
Is awful for the last survivor,at least make the gates power up as soon as the hatch opens.Right now its way to killer sided, couple that with NOED and end game is just unfair and pointless for the last survivor

Having NOED after triggering EGC makes no difference whatsoever. If you are found and get hit, you might as well give up.

On the same level of intellect, I also think it's not fair that I'm not given a greater than 50% chance of winning as killer when I got completely outplayed. If all 4 survivors are alive by the time all 5 gens are done, I think it should be mandatory that a survivor lets me kill them before gates can be opened.

I have only played 30 or so matches since EGC but have got away as the last survivor most of the time. As long as you save and heal so that killer has multiple targets at the end you will be fine. If you are the only one left and cannot escape: your team failed to survive long enough and the penalty is death.

oh please... if the killer managed to kill your potato teammates before you all finished your gens then he obviously deserves the 4th kill to be served up on a silver platter.
stop asking for free escapes. geez. /s

Of course you do. All killers cry like that lmfao

and what about if there are 3 DCs? End game is too unbalanced now.Close the hatch by all means but let the gates power up when the hatch opens.

If by unbalanced, you mean ironically in the survivor's favor, then yes. Not only do they get a 2nd and 3rd chance to escape, but because of maps like the Game and Lery's which are garunteed to spawn the gates on opposite sides of the map, they're more likely than not to get good distance between gates.
1 -
DCs are an entirely separate issue, but since you brought it up, how is EGC so much worse than what we had before? Did you enjoy Survivors holding the game hostage by crouching around the map "trying" to do two generators to make the hatch spawn?

The doors just need to be distanced from each other. If the doors are distanced you can easily do this strategy. Get the exit gate to 30% so the light doesn't show. Then hide in a locker. Wait for the killer to come to your exit gate. As soon as they leave hop on the gate. Success!

and what about most of the other maps where the gates can spawn close?
They could power up 1 gate on the hatch opening a bit of middle ground, then the kiler and survivor has the choice to find the hatch or go to the gate
1 -
So EGC should just return to the hatch can't be closed? Since by your logic EGC means Survivor Leaves. The fact that you can even 30% a gate without a light being turned on is ridiculous with most of the gate spawns unless they spawn on the same wall. You probably lose as killer.

I usually just let myself die
Against a Billy, Nurse, or Spirit, EGC is literally hopeless of course unless you have a key
Now I always run keys, never thought i'd see the day so many keys are used.

Lol I am just telling people a strategy that works to escape lmao there is no hatch standoff so EGC is still doing it's job. The fact that you think that a gate should light up before it's 30% done is funny. Also why insult me?
0 -
I did not mean to insult you. It was either cut the sentence or leave it a run-on. Simply put distance of the gates for the most part makes the killer lose. Ontop of 'Oh boy EZ 30% gate first"

I am not talking about putting the distance of the gates across the map from each other that would be stupid but what also is stupid is when they spawn right next to each other. Also I would agree it should be fixed where they cannot spawn on two opposite sides of the map. 30%ing the gate would be a strategy it's up to you to find the survivor at this point. There are tracking perks to help with this for example. Or you can wait at the hatch for the survivor close the hatch then chase them. Or you can go with the old method of slugging one survivor and slugging the next and then you can kill them both.

On those maps it's about a 50/50 chance of them being really close or really far apart. Which is an even disparity in a situation where the killer has outplayed the survivor team and then proceeded to beat the last survivor to their 2nd chance escape. By all logic, the 3rd chance to escape should actually be remotely small, but because they have garunteed max distance gate spawn maps, the average actually goes above 50% in the survivor's favor for a high escape possibility scenario.

When gens weren't done, I've done this and it has worked like 60% of the time:
Right before the 3rd guy gets hooked (and assuming it's death hook), I'll run towards an exit gate, so the killer picks me up with BBQ while "trying to open" the gate.
Then I'll urban evade around that gate and make a decision: if the killer got there lightning quick and the gates weren't powered, he didn't close the hatch - so I'll run and look for it.
If the gates have power it means there's no hatch any more, so I'll urban evade away looking for the other gate.
It's a coin flip still, but I have escaped a fair share of times.

I've been downed by NOED in the exit gate zones a couple of times. I waited by the far gate as I knew the killer knew where the hatch was and would get there before me. Just managed to get the gate open when the killer got there and boom. Death to NOED...

Well at that point survivors failed to do gens and failed to cleanse totems. Two failures don't result in a reward, normally.
And while this thread has nothing to do with NOED, I've been thinking about the option of making survivors immune to the "exposed" status if they cleansed 3 totems on their own. They will take 2 hits (as normal) to be put on the dying state.
That will help solo survivors that acknowledge cleansing totems as a legit objective.

I feel like things in the egc are good for me as survivor. We get 1 possible escape option even if the team is slaughtered before the 1st gen, can retry the hatch if possessing a key, and finally 2 exit gates which are randomly placed preventing either side from always having a favored scenario. There is no reason for an individual's chances of survival to remain the same as when there are other teammates still alive.
