Camping
One thing I'll never understand is why people feel the need to camp unless that survivor ran you for all 5 gens (Which would still be your own fault for chasing them that long) than there's no reason to camp. I wish the devs would force killers to be active. If you stand in the same 15 meter spot for longer than 1:30 minutes (without being in a chase), automatically disconnects and temporarily bans you from playing for a day or two. Nothing severe, just enough to get these killers to stop camping, because it's not fair for the hooked survivor to De-Pip while everyone else pips, because the killer is camping.

It's not April Fool's Day yet, try again later.

There are both perks to counter camping (ds, borrowed time, deliverance with any exhaustion perk) aswell as just sucking it up.
I've been killed first hook countless times due to camping, but sometimes I gain a pip.
It's also better for my team-mates for the killer to be a toxic #########.
I know it's not fun to play against, and I'm not saying it is, but that's just how the game is played sometimes.
It's like punishing the killer for tunneling or the survivor for looping.

Got any other game killing ideas? I'd love to see what else you could come up with to utterly drive this game into an early grave.

You can have the ban if we get one for tbagging and flashlight flickering in sight of the killer. Same rules apply. Deal?
News DBD banned 60% of their playerbase withing a month.

Having to bring three perks to stop camping just shows in what a sorry state this game is tbh.

Think I'll start camping more now :)

It's actually insane out of 10 games I played 7 killers were camping, some of them because multiple gens were done while they were wasting time with one survivor some of them started the lobby with only camping in mind. It makes me sad because in near future im gonna be forced to wait 20 minutes to get a game as killer once all survivors just leave the game because of these dumbasses. And I'm talking about red rank killers btw.

ridiculous idea? - check.
jumping on a topic that is highly debated right now? - check.
new account with only one post? - check.
yeah, this is bait.
try harder next time.

If your swf then its their job to counter it. If your solo its a matter of getting better at detecting and avoiding the killer. Any killer can camp, so the first chase is the most important. Maybe dont run the killer through pallets until its a guaranteed down, break Los sooner and sneak away.

So you reward a killer for camping? What do you think the killer will do next time he gets you in his lobby?
3 -
If they camp go do gens? I never get upset when a killer camps because its actually a stupid strategy. They get less points and lose gens for what? to camp the hook

If they get rewarded for me DCing then sure. Also rewarding myself by not wasting my time in those games. I get a new game with out a camping killer much faster if I DC than if I play the game out

Wow, that's a crappy thing to do to your teammates. If you're camped, hold on as long as possible to help your teammates, geez.

And what is insidious for then?
dunno it’s a tactic and not a good one...

@Twinbros you, my friend, are exactly what's wrong with this game. This "I don't give a ######### about my fellow survivors, as soon as things don't go the way I like, I'm ready to screw them over".
God I can't wait for dedicated servers and the mass banning of players like you. Hope BHVR will finally prove serious about it. Crossing fingers...

And @Lucistic, it's really a bad idea. Camping is one way to play the game. Often it's stupid and boring, but not always. Banning for it is a very bad idea. Basically you want to decide where the killer must and must go and be. I'm sorry, but everyone is free to play any way they want, if they're not cheating.
There are great perks that help against campers too. Above all, Borrowed Time, but Kindred is useful too. You can't expect devs to punish killers (they already do, but they can only go so far). You have to punish them yourself.

@George_Soros Gonna be a wonderful day when the forums are flooded with "I was banned for no reason!" threads.

@se05239 I can't wait :) If it comes to pass, I'll celebrate and show my appreciation by buying some stupid and expensive cosmetic.
But, on a more somber note: guys like this will probably just suicide on first hook...

then killers should get banned for tunneling and slugging survivors and leavin them on ground during egc so timer kills them

i usually dc if i see mori lol

@Sushi_x2099 you shouldn't. Ebony mori is dirty and easy mode, but it's still kind of a chicken thing to DC because of it. Besides, it can be a number of other offerings. You're wasting other people's time by DC-ing during loading screen.

I was waiting for someone to tell him how this new banning system will screw him over. Found that person. Good job mate!

So today i had a game where i had to resort to camping. i was playing as the shape on the family residence map and had a really hard time. The survivors were really alert and i couldn't sneak up on them to stalk as they would run through all the plants and stuff on the level. I couldn't get out of tier 1 till after 3 gens had already repaired. By the time i was actually able to hook 1 person the game was pretty much over, i figured i would try for some points by unfortunately camping to get a single kill. Sometimes things go wrong and i needed to make the use of my add ons and offering profitable, not every act of camping is not done just to be nasty

In most situations camping is a net loss for the killer, they get 1 kill but have 3 escape.
If he's lucky he can get a 2nd kill, but unless the survivors throw the game, they will never get 3 kills.
I suggest adding bonus distraction points when being camped, they would be added post match, and would help compensate the camped survivor with delicious blood points.
Another thing they could do is give the killer a temporary speed boost after hooking like devour gives, encouraging killers to start patrolling since they have a boost.
