Depipping in fast match?
Twice tonight i have played swf with a tunneling face camping killer. In a situation like that whatever friend got tunneled, hooked and face camped...we gennie rushed and three of us got out. In both matches i depipped. How is that possible? Each match i did a gen and a half. Why am i being punished for a face camping killer? Shouldn't the killer be the one that depips?

Broken rank system. Move on buddy, SWF doesn't care about rank anyway.

If you're SWF, have two members bring in BT. You lose points if you don't save people and if you can. With how the pipping system is sit up, everyone is punished if the killer decides to camp and you decide to punish that by staying on gens. You can also have 1~2 bring in DS, too, in case he downs and tries to pick up whoever was last hooked.
Ideally, the person with BT will save the hooked before they enter stage 2 (two BT just in case the BT person ends up on the hook). Then you would save the person again before they die. It wastes a lot of time.

That's the wrong attitude - It's definitely an issue right now even if someone is in an SWF. The system fuxking sucks for players on the survivors side. It's in the killers control often if you de-pip or pip and he can decide what happens with your rank because of his decision, which while is meant for the killer to kill people and the reasoning is there, it's not to ruin the other sides experience.

Yeah, I personally think that a survivor shouldn't depip if they're camped and tunneled. Some nights you can face tunneler after tunneler and not have a chance to preserve your rank, and you get punished for a killer's cheap game methods. They should implement a safety pip in the case of being tunneled.

If you lived, then yeah, why not black pip?
If you died, then I don't think you should safety for just hanging on a hook.
If it's a pattern, you and your team should change up your perks.

The emblem system doesnt measure your skill at escaping.
It measures if you do enough actions to have a semi"fun" trial for all players involved.

Emblem system feels broken as hell.....
If u r a good runner and keep loopin the killer for 2 gens, u dont get points for Lightbringer, cause u didnt got gens repaired.
If not many survivors got hooked, u dont get points for altruism.
Vice versa, funny survivors joining a game with toolboxes and mess up the Gatekeeper emblem for the killer.
And even with 3 kills sometimes u wont get a pip, as killer.
But the devs gonna change the way the emblem system works, i think, they said this during a stream, so the system allows the runner to pip, and also the gen-junkie of the team.
Hopefully, they also change the system for killers, actually it feels like u r forced to play the sweaty tryhard style to pip.

Thanks guys and dolls for the actual intelligent feed back. It's nice to know someone else feels my pain and sees the broken pip system. Thank you for the perk advice as well. I have been using it!!

Survivors who just rush and leave, you ain't getting points.
Killers who 4k waay too fast, ain't getting points.
To me this is a sign of young/new killers and survivors who are still treating the game as a schoolyard game of tag, rather than a strategy game. Good games are when all the survivors and killers are on the same page working to maximize the efforts of their time.
I hate wasting my "points for everyone" sacrifices on these ... people ...
I see the PIP tool as trying to remind people to relax and explore more of what the game has to offer.
I am also eager to see if the rework will promote more of this behavior.

So someone else notices when you be nice and use BPS or Gateaus you get rewarded with gen rushing and de-pips.
