Animation Skipping
Has BHVR ever considered the idea of including animation skip options for when a survivor is dying on the hook? @Peanits @not_Queen
The idea is:
If the player if in the struggle phase and let's go while on the hook, allow an option to skip the animation so they are not forced to stay the extra 12 seconds every time they die

But... Why? It's twelve seconds. Just stick around. There are bigger issues to deal with than cutting an extra TWELVE SECONDS off your death.

12 seconds per match. Considering u play not only 1 match per day it's gonna be a lot if wasted time after many matches.

Let's say you play 5 matches. That's a minute. An average DbD game takes more or less 15-20 minutes. To be generous I'll say 15.
That means it'll take 3 days of playing to amount to one match.
There are bigger fish to fry right now.

True there are much bigger issues. However this is an extremely simplistic addition that a few teenagers could program 2 days in their basement. Btw games usually last about 8-10 minutes.
It does more good than you realize. Once you play the game enough, staying in the trial just to be picked up, walked over to the hook, then sit there for 25 seconds watching your character go to struggle then enter an extremely long death scene animation, it gets old. It feels like you are just catering to the killers satisfaction. Its not enjoyable in the slightest if you didnt have a good time that game.
And people shouldnt be severely punished for choosing to leave a couple of seconds after they die. @not_Queen @Peanits
Maybe we can finally have an interface option to skip the intro animation every single time we open the damn game..? No one wants to see that every time......

I mean it's 12 seconds, are you really THAT impatient?

It's more than that, and yes. I don't see anything wrong with asking for a simple interface addition.

I believe the reason it’s 12 seconds is because it gives both the killer and surviver time to either get to the hatch or find the hatch imo

I’d also like to skip the stupid animations on the scoreboard. After seeing them once, it’s nothing more than a waste of my time. Fully populate them, and let me switch between them on my own. I don’t need s stupid wizard, counting up, and changing pages, every time the game ends.

My guess is they want you to watch your death.

You just said 12 seconds! And i don't see the point of skipping it. BUT if you're impatient maybe speeding it up.

Yeah I honestly can't say the animations seem like a big deal. It just sounds like you need to take losing less seriously. It's 12 seconds, it's not the end of the world.

I would like this change as well. Just because it's 12 seconds and not a big deal doesn't mean it can't be changed. In fact it should be the easiest to change.

Its...12 seconds.
This is the kind of logic that people who DC on last hook use.

Maybe you should just stop dying... how about that? Nah I'm serious now: I don't think this is a bad idea, but they have so many problems at the moment (actually even since the release) that they probably won't discuss such "unimportant" changes

Please dont derail my topic. It's purely about skipping animations. Not disconnecting. You can do that on your own time or in another post.
It's an easy and simple quality of life change. We deserve to have some interface optimizations. You dont need a whole dbd development team for that.
