Insults before the start of the match
Hello. I played a match with one guy who insulted me after the game. I reported him by in-game report system. I got him in another lobby and happened same thing. I want to know, when someone insult me before the game and he left the lobby what can I do? There is no report system.

I don't believe there's any way to report somebody in the pre-trial lobby at the moment, though since you already reported him in your previous match the post-game chat will be looked into. If what he said was bad enough he might get banned, but for now that's all you need to do to get the team to look into it.

Reporting him by in-game report system is the way to go.

How are you supposed to report someone who leaves before the game starts?
Example: Someone joins a lobby, starts throwing racial slurs around, leaves the lobby. There is no report button in the lobby and they would not show up in the tally after the game

I'm very sorry to hear you've experienced a player treating you like this, if you ever experience a player being abusive in pre-game chat we do have chat logs of this and can still penalize these players.
My best advice for when you witness something like this is to log their username and if possible, their chat messages and submit it via our Customer Support website found here: https://support.deadbydaylight.com/
This is all we will need to find them and take action accordingly.
We currently do not have a report feature in the match lobby, though we have had cases like this brought to our attention previously and we take that feedback into consideration when trying to improve accessibility and simplifying the report process for our players.

I'm just gonna be blunt about this one.
No one cares.
BHVR will never punish this and they never will. They have mountains of problems. Giving players another way to report each other is not going to happen

People are dicks, but remember not to take it to heart. Even if a person insults you, take it like it was a breeze that just passed by. Nothing to worry about, they are just trying to gain some type of attention or energy from bringing down someone else. Unfortunately, there is not a report system in place for before game actions.

Answer from devs:
"I have tried to investigate this for you, but have been unable to see an in-game report sent about this matter. In order for me to look at this in more detail, I would need to view the full chat log from end-game chat which would have been contained in that report. Unfortunately this means I will not be able to process your request. I am sorry for any disappointment this may cause.
In the future, please ensure you report offensive behaviour via our in-game report system"
