Pros to adding a totem counter
-Helps bridge gap between solo and swf.
-Incentivizes solos to actually cleanse totems.
-Secondary objective helps prevent gen rush.
-Noed no longer feels cheap.
-Doesn’t really have huge effect on swf, mainly benefits solos.

How so? It is info swf already have.

The only people who are against this are noob killer trying to get the ez kills at the end against solos.

Probably some truth to this

Swf basically have a totem counter. Why can't solo survivors? Although I doubt they'll implement the counter by itself. They'll probably add it to Small Game to make it a more meta perk or something.

@PrincessPoop Isnt the fact that cleansing totems benifits a survivors lightbringer emblem ALREADY an incentive to cleanse totems? Ppl use to say that ranking up was difficult due to the limited amount of gens to do. That survivor teams were competing with each other for those emblem points.

Give small game the totem counter

This doesn't only nerf NOED but all other totem Perks. Perks like Devour Hope would be destroyed much earlier which you might not have found if not.

I dont think hes asking for the counter to tell you if there are any lit totems just how many are there are left lit or dull
3 -
Will just keep the gap between solo and swf cuz swf don't need to waste a perk slot for that information

i never thought about this but how about notice this for both killer and survivors?
than killer can little of counting how much survivor stick out from gen
hm...totems are killers properties so i think thats more fair

Well yeah, that’s a small incentive but it’s not just about rank/bloodpoints. As a solo survivor I often feel discouraged from doing totems solely because I never know if my teammates are doing their fair share. There’s nothing more frustrating than doing 4 totems by yourself and hoping that at least one of your teammates got the last one only to be smacked with NOED. This problem would be solved if there was a counter, as you could see how many remain, then you’d only have yourself to blame for not doing the totems. And again this info swf already have so why not let solos have this info too?
3 -
Yeah exactly just a simple counter that doesn’t give you any other info other than how many totems remain.

This will only help Solos I don't understand why so many are against this. NOED is currently really strong against Solo survivors because many won't do totems because they don't know if others will also do their fair share.

Only 4 man SWF. I duo with a friend frequently and we never know how many totems are killed beyond us.
1 -
@Eninya If I play with one or two guys and we cleanse all the totems between us, we know that we have cleansed everything. It doesn't need a 4-men-SWF at all.

They're against because they rather the game be kept in an unbalanced state.
Fucking hypocrites.

I'd be fine with this on Small Game or Detective's Hunch. Not in base. The killer should also however be able to tell what lit hexes are what though. Having a Devour Hope icon over a lit totem for example would be super helpful so you'd know which totem you could AFFORD to lose in cases like this.

Totem counter is actually buff to good killer players as survivors spend time cleansing dulls instead of doing gens.

I think it should be tied to small game

This is something that would happen anyway. When devs improve the totems localization noed will be a meta perk, so the solution would be a counter or a noed nerfing

With the new blood point bonuses coming out and and the fact that cleansing totems increases your lightbringer, if solo survivors still need incentives to cleanse totems then they have absolutely no right to complain about noed.
2 -
Also if it's attached to a perk like small games I'm fine but not if it's baseline. Hell just makes more games the opposite to Thrill of the hunt and make thrill of the hunt a non hex perk.

add it to Small Game.
i would not like to see this additional info being given out to everyone for free.

I'd rather it be base than attached to SG. The more common small game becomes the more trash trap killers become.

@PrincessPoop Im not saying im AGAINST a totem counter, just stating that there currently IS incentive. Even your fear of getting hit by NOED is an incentive to cleanse a totem if you see it. On any given match, its pretty common for EVERY totem to have someone run past it at least once. Adding a counter doesnt INCENTIVIZE breaking the totems that survivors are already choosing NOT to break when they walk right past them. It only takes away the fear of the unknown if your not sure if the killer has NOED still before he hits someone cuz you can see the totem counter says 0.

I really don’t get why you think that’s a good idea. So as a solo survivor I would have to bring a perk to get info that swf already get for free. Again this only helps bridge the gap between solo survivor and swf (who already get the info for free), so why shouldn’t it be baseline?
