is insidious bubba in the basement good game design?
Or is insidious even a perk that should be in the game when it just encourage camping?

No and no.

Nope. It's not even a good perk to use if you want to "win". It's a ticket to a depip / black pip in high ranks.
It'll probably get reworked to jumpscare in a more engaging way in the future.

O god yes. he should have a pink add on called welcome to bubbas basement it turns the map into a big basement.

I’ll repost this here

Not in the red ranks I've gotten as solo in the past month or so. It's been really, really, REALLY bad survivor side. Irredeemably bad. So bad that I'd say camping is the best strategy in the game at the moment with the teammates I've been getting.

Terrible design. But not gonna lie, the best way to get salt. Sometimes u know in the lobby that those survivors bully killers. So basement Bubba is a great punishment lol

I'm hoping Insidious gets reworked to be the premiere perk to spoop with. I understand why they put it in the game back then, nowadays people abuse anything and everything there is to offer in this game, so, you know, we gotta change things too.

I don't get why we still have insidious in the game. It literally encourages camping, nothing else. Maybe if they want that "jumpscare" feeling they should make it so if you used it in the last 15 seconds, you only apply the deep wound effect. Or maybe you can't stop survivors from unhooking? Or maybe you can't use it near hooked survivors? I don't know but if it were up to me I would just completely delete it from the game. We don't need that kind of perks

Leatherface can camp even without Insidious
If you go down near the basement vs him you are bad and deserve to die, he is the strongest killer for the basement
If you go for unhooks without making sure it's safe to do so you are bad
The only issue with Insidious is that it's very weak against any survivors who are even halfway competent

IMO, an insidious rework would be nice to make it usable elsewhere. I figured something like "after standing still for 2 seconds, your TR is reduced to 0 and red stain disappears for the next 15 seconds. Has a 60 second cooldown." This would allow ppl to use it to approach gens and such stealthily if they know a survivor is on said gen.

Yes,because I should let my teammates die because MAYBE that LF has insidious, logic.

Go down = going to the dying state, the state where you crawl
I never said you should not go for unhooks, I said you should make sure it's safe
If you rush the hook without making sure the killer is not near then you are one of those awful teammates that other survivors complain about. The reason Insidious even works is because of players like that, Insidious campers would get one or two kills at most per game and very few bloodpoints if people played smart
And yes letting your teammates die is the ideal play in certain situations, for example against a camping Leatherface

you definitly dont understand what this game is about. this is not a esl competetive game. its a game which we play for fun. going down near basement against a lf, doesnt always mean your bad. there are many bad luck situations. also its clear that you dont play much survivor. if you see someone is getting hooked you either help him, or stick to you gen. if you stick to you gen you will noticed that this survivor wont be saved, so you go check why. and thats a big time lose. now imagine this happens to every survivor. maybe there will be 1 or maximum 2 gens done before the person dies on hook. and than lf will just do it with another survivor and so on. he will get atleast 3 if not 4k against solo survivor and thats just bad gamedesign. so i dont get why you write such nonsense if you clearly have no idea what you are talking about

Basement Bubba is good for a laugh and some salt.

If ANYONE is in bubba's basement, you leave them. Insidious or not.

Yes going down near the basement against Leatherface IS your fault. Don't go near the basement, it's impossible to carry survivors to it from every spot on every map
Checking a hook does not take long at all. You do it once, notice the killer is camping and then don't bother checking for other survivors unless you can reliably tell the killer is not near, either from the terror radius that appears near you or from another, unhooked survivor getting wounded
i dont get why you write such nonsense if you clearly have no idea what you are talking about
It appears you have accidently talked to yourself
