Is anyone able to help me get better at Dead By Daylight?
I've been playing dead by daylight for a while now, and I still don't feel like I'm very good at survivor. I know basics, but sometimes I spectate others and they know how to play the game effectively.
I was wondering if anyone actually wanted to play with me on PS4 and teach me how to be a good survivor. I repair generators, but most of the time I can't win chases against the killer :( pls help me out x
My gamertag is: DemiiAbbeygaleex

One tip that might help you as survivor is to listen for the killers heartbeat the louder it gets the closer he is to you.
Also if you are getting chased by the killer try to vult windows and run to pallets and try to drop it on him to stun them temporally or to block em for a few min.
Also running leaves scratch marks that the killer can see. So only run if he's right behind you otherwise if you see him and he doesn't see you yet just crouch and walk behind stuff.
Hope this helps you:) and good luck in your future games:D

Spine Chill. This perk has saved my life in every game, especially since I have weird RNG and keep on spawning next to killer. This perk tells you:
-where killer is and if she/he is nearby
-is he/she still chasing you?
-the best tool to juke and dodge Nurse, Spirit, and Ghostface
-sometimes helps you carry risky heals and exit gate openings
So many other uses, but it is top tier and 100% underrated! :D

All of them are basically skins, but based on 3 teachable perks:
Dwight- Great character perks, all his perks are very useful and top tier, efficient in objectives and helping teammates. Prove Thyself for gen rushing, Leader for everything else, and Bond is a top tier perk.
Meg- Adrenaline is one of the meta perks, and her other two perks really help in chases if used right, good is you are a runner. Sprint Burst forces you to walk, but you can use it to lose killers and get to saves and objectives faster. Quick and Quiet sometimes helps you escape via windows or lockers quickly.
Claudette- Has a reputation of being toxic (I hate full team Claudettes) but playing as the real her (as I do), her three perks are top tier as well. Self Care is okay, used to be meta(it wastes time though, better use aura reading perks to let teammates heal you), Empathy gives you infinite map knowledge (knowing where chases are happening who to heal) and Botany Knowledge is great for almost all games.
Jake- Iron Will is one of the best perks, helps you lose the killer easily if you can. Calm Spirit is really a perk that only fully counters very specific killers and perks. Saboteur is not worth it unless you are running a sabo build
Nea- Urban Evasion is really good, basically a great perk for stealth. Balanced Landing is one of the best exhaustion perks, with a passive ability that is already really good, helps you loop in most maps. Streetwise is alright, but I wouldn't use it.
Laurie- Her perks are hard but worth it. Decisive Strike is still a top tier perk after nerf, but it punishes tunnelers thankfully. Object of Obsession is only if you are confident to be tunneled yourself. Sole Survivor helps block scratched mirror Myers and Barbecue and Chili, but it requires that everyone dies. Not a good perk.
Ace- Just a few words. His perks suck. Ace in a Hole is decent for item farming, Open handed is only good for certain builds, and Up in the Ante is just bad, luck is not that great.
Bill- Borrowed Time is the perk everyone loves, saves lives and meta. Unbreakable is rare to use, but when it comes to play, it changes the outcome of a game usually. Left Behind sucks, don't use it.
Feng Min- Technician is useless. Don't use it unless you suck at skillchecks. Lithe is a great beginner's exhaustion perk, helps you dodge killers with certain builds and useful in all situations as long as you don't get hit through the window. Alert is an underrated perk that tells you the killer's whereabouts no matter what in the mid-game.
David King- We'll Gonna Live Forever is just a blood point perk. No Mither sucks, only good for hard mode and meme builds. But Dead Hard is a top tier perk that helps dodge killers and get to windows and pallets on time.
Quentin- Wake Up is okay, tells your team where to go and opens gates faster, helping you in solo exit gate escape. Vigil is useless unless you want to Dead Hard a lot, since you don't recover exhaustion over a period of time. Pharmacy is decent, a better version of Self Care to be honest.
David Tapp- Detective's Hunch is useless, never put it on. Tenacity is actually useful, but only when killer slugs you. Stake Out is a great perk to counter Hex: Ruin and helps get objectives very fast.
Kate- Windows of Opportunity is a great perk for finding pallets and windows, it is top tier to me since I suck at finding them. :`) Boil Over is not that great, only good against noob killers. Dance with Me is a great perk, but only in certain builds or if you can break line of sight.
Adam- Deliverance is a very good perk, but only in crutch situations, but it does save lives. Autodidact is alright, is decreases healing for a while, then you basically get instaheals as you get more skillchecks. Diversion is a legendary tier perk, throwing a pebble is the best perk ever.
Jeff- Distortion is a great perk to ignore aura-readings of the killer, great counter to barbecue and chili, but not top tier due to being only 3 tokens. Aftercare is a great perk, a good option to Bond and Empathy. And Breakdown is good against tunnelers.
Jane- Poised is a good perk, only if you can lose line of sight, since it activates whenever any generator is completed. Solidarity is good in certain situations, but that's it. Head On is a fun perk that killer rarely expects, but only in certain situations.
Ash- Mettle of Man used to be meta, but is it too glitchy to use at the moment. Buckle Up is good against sluggers and tight situations, and Flip Flop is really good against sluggers and certain builds.
Ta-dah! :D
Outside Perks of the Lost Survivors:
Dark Sense is decent, but only if you are good with objectives, but helps you see where the killer is going in the endgame
Deja Vu is terrible, good for beginning players if you can't find generators.
Hope- A great perk to last much longer in the endgame, it is a satisfying perk to use.
Kindred- A meta perk I use often that is meta to solo survivors. It counters campers and helps survivors make the right decisions.
Lightweight is really good as long as you can lose the killer's sight or have a headstart.
No One Left Behind- Only useful in some situations, not very helpful sadly
Plunderer's Instinct- Great for item farming and with Ace in a Hole, can sometimes change impact of game if you get stuff like purple keys.
Premonition- Spine Chill version for stealthy players, good to making decisions and warns of traps killers may be using, like insidious.
Resilience- A great perk combined with Self Care or No Mither, it helps you boost in doing all objectives when you are injured.
Slippery Meat- Useless but helps if you are hooked and the last survivor dies, it could be a worse version of deliverance
Small Game- helps you against Trapper, Hag and Freddy, also helps you counter NOED and Hex Perks
Spine Chill- Meta underrated perk that tells you so many things about the game's situation, only useless against scratched mirror Myers.
This is Not Happening- Not that great, a worst version of Resilience.

@DemiiAbbeygaleex I suggest learn how to pallet loop first before anything else, there's a lot of tutorials on this game about looping and how to do it. Read the killer, learn their playstyle, and understand how their power works to avoid getting hit early on in chases. I suggest watching twitch streamers that are up there for more advice.

@DemiiAbbeygaleex I'd like to recommend play some as killers see the tactics survivors use against you. See how the loop pallets and run jungle gyms or buildings. Not all you face will do this but the few that do will give you ideas.

I appreciate the help. I know how the heartbeat works and I know about scratchmarks. When I play as Nea i have a perk that lets scratch marks show for 3 seconds left hehe but thank you very much :) I appreciate it.

NP, and also you can use that lightweight to help too. I personally love combining Sprint Burst, Lightweight, and Spine Chill. Also use Adrenaline, has also saved the lives of every survivor main. :D

@DemiiAbbeygaleex Streamers such as Jendenise, Puppers, AngryPug, and No0b3 are really good at survivor, and have been playing for a long time. They may seem "toxic" at first but that doesn't matter.
Tru3Ta1ent, and Fungoose are also pretty good people to watch if your trying to get better as a killer.
