Upright dream pallets should have collision
Survivors are able to know if a pallet is a dream pallet by just phasing through upright pallets. If this is used by a good team, it makes dream pallets useless. Upright dream pallets having collision will make it seem like it is a real pallet, do you agree?
(I am fine with survivors memorizing destroyed pallet location to avoid dream pallets)

But they'd still have to run to it to know that. So either they run to it in a chase and waste time at a fake pallet, giving you time to catch up.. or they waste their time outside of a chase checking pallets instead of doing gens.
And in most situations the need to throw down a pallet is immediate because the killer is right behind you so you won't have time to check and even if you do, it doesn't matter because Freddy is right there.

But they can still check mid chase by "sliding" into pallets when the killer is chasing, but not behind them, that way if it is fake, they will not use it, and if it is real, they would not of sacrifices anything.
Also checking pallets next to gens would never take more than 3 seconds.
EDIT: when I mean "sliding" into pallets, I do not mean heading face first onto pallets stopping movement, I mean slightly going against the "smooth" side of a pallet.

Don't the pallets have collision? I haven't played against dream pallets that many times so I don't know but I thought they had collision.

They currently do not. Survivors can walk through upright dream pallets like there not even there!

If they don't have collision, they can essentially be 'disarmed' by anyone who isn't in a chase.
Slowly, very slowly, it will dawn on people that new-Freddy is not really an improvement on old-Freddy and all the embarrassing praise for the rework is down to novelty-factor alone.

...Which will reveal the survivors, letting Freddy know where they are, or at least know that their doing, even with the common addon!

Which is the survivors choice, unlike with options a killer uses to get that information. The survivor gets to pick the optimum time to do it, such as if the killer is pre-occupied in a chase.
Survivors are already doing this, it's just now they never have to risk dropping a real pallet.

Well, you said that survivors have choices, but killers do not have choices, pretty much saying killers should not use their powers, because you can't have choices, because survivors do not want you to use your power.

He's not better really. The snares are absolute garbage. Pallets are good when they work, but he's still very loopable and without add on... He's not very impressive.

One thing I'm wondering is that the devs have not mentioned the no-clip on fake-pallets when discussing the intended dynamics of them. Their focus has been on having to remember where the pallets were not there while awake. That to me suggests that no-clip on fake-pallets is an oversight.
Now we see if they will change that, because this removes the risk of wasting a real pallet.

I agree. This was something I noticed watching YT videos, I didn't try it myself but it makes sense now. If dream pallets have no collision they are literally pointless. Pretty sure it's a bug because the devs said they wanted them to look real, they even remove the broken pallet asset when you place a dream pallet where a real pallet used to be.
