1. They all join at once.
2. They come prepared into the lobby and don't change/equip items in the lobby
3. They wait for flashlight switcher
4. They come with a pattern in customization such as all prestige, colorful clothes, squadette etc.9 -

3 and 4 man swf are obvious as they join almost simultaneously however the 2 man swf can easily go undetected.

Don't listen to anyone telling you that "All join together = SWF", there can actually be a delay between them and all solo survs can also join all together at the same time.
The only way to test for SWF is to go on ones profile, check his friends lists, press CTRL + F (search function) and type in names of people in your lobby.
If there is a single person in the game with a public profile and rest with privates, however he doesn't have any of the other guys on the list, assume they all three are in the SWF.
This process takes around 30 seconds, be aware of the timer however.5 -
They often join together, but not always. They may have similar names or outfits. The best way to be sure is to check their friends list.

Too many private profiles = most likely swf
Single players in que not on others' friends list but lots of comments from those people on their profiles. Meaning they know each other but are hiding it by not being friends. Seen it lots. SWF while not being friends on steam to hide it.
Obvious swf with clan names.
2 or more with similar outfits or same outfits that join the que wearing those outfits. Whether they all join at once or with a delay.
2 toolboxes one flashlight and a medkit. Most likely 4 man swf no matter if they are friends or not.Remember that %70 of games join with at least 2 swf so you can count on at least two being swf in every game. Just have to find the 3rd and possible fourth.

Bear in mind in some cases solo players joins the same time as SWF players, it's hard to tell but still got to point that out

I played solo que but had a private profile so i was subjected to the same dodge as i dished out as killer. Np. I have no issues with this

We are sorry solo people are getting caught in the dodging, but better to be safe then sorry. All the more reason to join Killers in requesting SWF be changed.
