General Discussion should be renamed Nurse discussion
Let's talk about it.

Sounds about right

Nurse is the most powerful killer in the game and she should be nerfed, as all games nerf their strongest characters to change the meta. If the meta is always the same, the game would become boring (and it is already happening). Think about this.

Or... they can add more strong killers to contest Nurse as long as they have counterplay! :)

At least nobody complains about Spirit now 😄😄😄.
1 -
So make the meta even more boring?

SHH!
Don't remind them!

And DS

That killed her in the ptb.

All Games is not true, the specialist's in Bo4 have some issues

This ^.

She apparently needs her own section for survivors and "killer mains" that call for nerfs. Complete with a nerf thread ticker.

Dont worry, they'll remember once they made sure that devs gutted nurse instead of just twewking her.
4 -
Joke aside, its the current hot topic. It'll recede slightly once
survivors target spirit nextthe complain wave about the actual nerfs is over.Gosh atleast its just a killer nerf. Magine the outrage if survivors got touched.
3 -
Yeah. It's not like we get multiple new killers, maps, survivors, updates, and perks each year constantly challenging, and occasionally changing the Meta. So they better nerf nurse, because literary nothing else could be acceptable./s
"Meta" doesn't mean everybody. I'd say less than 30% of everybody playing DBD are actually using Nurse to her full potential with the best strategy possible at rank 1. And Even then she can lose going up against meta survivors.
Screw the meta. You act like every killer is nurse. Nurse is gangsta in the right hands. Just like a survivor with the right build is gangsta in the right hands. Change is not needed.
3 -
They will nerf her just to reinforce the looping meta.
1 -
I guess you don’t remember the outrage when the nerf was announced, huh?🤔
1 -
I like the option of playing such an "OP" killer. People make it sound like everyone plays her and that's ruining the game. Some of us don't like to deal with endless loops match after match and she's a nice change of pace.
4 -
Since its the only mechanic Dev did create for gaining time as a survivor... I guess we ll do that forever. Or quit.

id say "nerf NOED" or "punish campers" would also be a good title.
it would reflect majority of the threats in here...

Timed surprise Pallete stuns, hiding, distractions, body blocking (While carrying), flashlights, locker stuns, firecrackers, hook sabotage, mind game, etc don't count as time savers in your world against nurse? Just don't loop. it's not a hard concept.
If looping forever, or quitting are the only options for you then you're not very bright, or you just want easy wins without having to think.

I think they should buff the other killers to compete with nurse, not the other way around. Spirit is almost there, but the others can easily get bullied.
1 -
I've noticed that nurse is weak to just trying to keep your distance, 360ing, and breaking line of sight. Not to mention that you can stun them with head on to stop a blink.
1 -
Nurse 4Ks probably 90% of her matches, having every killer 4K 90% of their matches is just not healthy for the game.

But nurse has a high learning curve. Nurse is far from an instant win button.
Other killers should have high skill ceilings, as well as the ability to do well if played well, not just if the other team plays badly.

Am I the only person that wants Nurse to have basekit only slightly changed and thinks addon rework is the only necessary thing?
0 -
She does not have a high learning curve at all.
I don't understand this ridiculous notion coming from people that you have to spend 100s of hours with her to be good at her, you can be VERY mediocre with her and still decimate anyone.
one/two days of playing her without addons and you're set, it's nothing near what people make it out to be.
0 -
Nope. Try learning to blink on the Game, or Haddonfield.
Also getting the timing for getting accurate blinks can be quite difficult to newer players.
She does have a high skill ceiling because you have to predict where survivors are going.
I've seen many 3-4-even 5 blink nurses fail entire games because they don't know the proper way to do things.
1 -
Nope. I agree.
The addons need changes anyway since blink accuracy isn't a thing anymore.
1 -
Don't worry, spirit will be next once the devs have finished caving to demand on nurse. Then maybe Billy and so on and so on.
Don't get me wrong, same thing happens to survivor perks/mechanics from the other side. Its a non stop thing that will never changed because its been proven that if you scream loud enough, you will eventually be catered to.
As I have said before, some things do need a nerf, other things just required adapting, but i guess that might require actual effort so instead, nerf it.
I used to have trouble against nurse, nowdays i'm pretty good at avoiding her because i found ways to work around her. Nurse being OP is not the issue from my own viewpointof several games, its people not wanting to play a certain way.
1 -
Everyone is different, some people absolutely struggle to learn her. However, don't get me wrong, it's really her add-ons that remove the skill curve in my opinion.

Are you familiar with the five stages of grief?
This forum has something similiar it announcments of gamechanges or changes in general
After the announcement of the nerfs we whine and flame because we dont want to have it true, we get angry because we consider it i justified, we bargain with our own propositions to not let something get gutted completely.
Then comes the nerf and the depression, the bargaining phase lasts until ca 1 week after a that, then acceptance.
My "forum memory " is rather short but ddnt it happen quite exactly like that with legion?
Yes its especially volatile after the announcement because of the "long" waiting time before it actually happens. It would have been not so volatile if survivors didnt rub it in though.
