Ever been spared by a killer because of one thing you did?
I remember when me and a clown saw each other through a window and I nodded at him and he nodded back. He didn’t hook me for the rest of the game, he’d slug me if I was on a gen. Whenever I was the last survivor we farmed.
I remember I was playing with @Mushwin and kept saying “I’m gonna marry this thicc boi”.😂

i was playing swf yesterday and for some reason the huntress let me go.....though i don't have a clue why....maybe it's my extreme cuteness :)

Generally speaking: Claudettes are tunneled out for various reasons. I don't feel like playing hide n seek at 2 gens remaining.
Dwights: They get to live simply because they wear the pizza boy outfits.
Object of Obsession: I tunnel and camp you out to the point I soak in the salt of the disconnect. I seen what terrible things you can do with this perk against several killers. I enjoy when they have it against my nurse <3.
Afk: If you are not a claudette or have a key I will generally only slug. Your team is already at a disadvantage.
Survivors that wave their arms from the moment they get hooked or as you pass by; I stop what I am doing and camp to make the point even if it costs me a match.

Things that I found particularly neat. I have had several maps where the survivor would just dead end themselves. Realize they did it and simply turn and nod. I will generally get a kick out of it and walk away. I have also ran Territorial Imperative and had it go off 10 seconds into a match. As they were digging through the chest I came down and again they simply look and nod. Generally will just do an early game slug and leave them. There was also several times I had ballerina type killers when we did loops and they got aggravated. I was at shack with a billy and no where to lie we probably made it to the 6th time around it for the second chase he went after me. At this point he started 360 smacking the killer shack window and I joined in. After that the match went lightweight no rush not really a farm game but not like a grab and go type deal. I also purposely slug no mither's unless they are toxic in game. Then wait till end game when I get asked did I know what No-Mither was as a R1 killer LOL

Ok so I just copy/past this answer from another thread I typed this on but it easily fits this one too.
This happened a looooong time ago (year 1 I think). I was in a match with 3 friends and we were all playing a different survivor using only their 3 unique perks. The challenge was to play as selfish as possible and try to escape via exit gates (hatch not allowed). The only rule we had was if an injured survivor touched you YOU HAD TO stop and heal them no matter what was going on.
Match starts I'm Nea, the killer (Wraith) finds me instantly, horribly laggy match and he misses me twice. I realized he was hitting in a spot I wasn't and I had a few rubber band moments myself. After the third miss I stopped and just stared at the Wraith. In that moment I think we both had an understanding that this lag was preventing either of us from having a normal experience and a silent agreement was made where I then ratted out all my friends and had the Wraith kill them all. It was a slow methodical process.
I won the challenge, made a new friend (although after game chat revealed he only spoke German so our conversation was very limited) and got all 3 friends mad at me in the same game. It was a win, win, win situation ^.^

I just had a game where a nurse was using NOED and the gate was open... at the other end of the map.
I was going for adept Ash, and Flip Flop was at 50%, because she wanted the 3 of us left.
I got the bar full, and then used it to get off and make a mad dash which worked.
That is how I got the Adept Ash achievement.

I let someone live because they came up to me and told me to follow them which already a big risk they took.
They led me to the basement to show a glitch where the RBT was floating in the air after someone died. I was able to get some funny photos from it so I decided to let them live.

I was playing as Hag on Coldwind Farm and at the start of the game headed into the house. As I was about to go up the stairs a Meg was coming down. I think we both scared each other as we both stopped and stared. She motioned to me to follow her. I went up the stairs where she opened a closet on Ash! So I chased Ash FOREVER and after a while we both stopped. We both nodded and parted ways. We both got massive chase points and he stayed out of closets the rest of the game!

A killer spared me because I was teabagging at pallets to spite him since I knew I was dead since I was the only one left. Strange guy must like being teabagged? I have other stories but that's the most interesting one.

My last game, actually. For some reason my HUD wasnt showing up, so when Freddy first approached me I just poked his face. He let me and Bill leave, and I gave him my toolbox which rarity I didn t know because no HUD.

All I did was crouch near him and he later gave me hatch, he refused to hook me and would not let me unhook by physically blocking me.

Yes, i pointed this Claudette when i was being chased because she barely did anything during the whole match and killer spared my life :)

A friendly Nea pointed out that Jake was hiding in a locker just as I knocked her down. In thanks I didn't hook her but the next time I encountered her she teabagged "hello". Since I was now her friend I didn't have the heart to kill her so I killed all her teammates instead and let her get on with her gens.
In hindsight I realise that I was probably reported for working with the other side so if I get banned, I know what it was for.

I got spared by a huntress because I jumped through a window straight into her waiting arms.
I mean... I just wanted those huntress cuddles...

A Bubba let me live yesterday because I was the only one to survive long enough.
He dropped all of us in 2 mins. I crawled away and he decided I was worthy of living.

I got to live as i had no mither on and i was against the pig and i run her around a while and she just gave up and everytime we would see eachother she would run off thats how i got the achievement

One time I was playing against a Ghostface and there was only two people left, I was being chased and on my last hook. So, after I vaulted a window I was able to get near a locker and I pointed at it, I was trying to pull a Puppers. He proceded to down me and look in the locker, turns out the Adam was in there. He looked at me shaking his head and killed the Adam, he then gave me the hatch but I didn't want it, I felt so bad for Adam.

I think the funniest one was when I was solo queueing and I was a single Quentin with 3 Claudette's.
The match was Ironworks of Misery and it was a Doctor, I ran him for about 10 minutes until he finally caught me. The Claudette's meanwhile didn't complete a single gen and were crouching in the corner of the map, so the Doctor slugged me and used his madness to find the Claudette's, they all went down in seconds.
He hooked them all and after they died he picked me up and gave me hatch, nodding his head.
The Claudette's then sent death threats to me and the Doctor, saying that we were "teaming" and that the Doctor was "aura hacking" (I don't think they knew what shock therapy does) and that I was "being useless" even though I was the one being chased and they were the ones all hiding in the corners.
Some players really concern me about their mental health, since that match me and the Doctor have been pretty good friends 😂

Yes. I have spared someone because they made me laugh. I cornered a Bill and he put his key on the floor and pointed at me as if he were offering it as a bribe. I smacked him and let him run away clean. After the match he waited just to have a good laugh about it.
Best part was, the key was still there at the end.

If someone disconnects early in the game or gives up on their first hook and leaves their team shorthanded i will hook get my stacks but not purposely kill anyone. This happens a ton the first week of rank reset.

Before the EGC lots of killers used to give me the hatch, one Billy in particular let me go because from his own words "from the 4 survivors, you were the only one who knew how to loop and you didn't deserve to be sacrificed".

When I was doing No Mither challenge Rank 10 to Rank 1 I was given Hatch 6 times. Those Killers all said "Hardly saw you all game but you did work I can tell". They let me go out of respect for playing Survivor on "Hard Mode" cause I ran No Mither / We'll Make It / Iron Will / Dead Hard

One time I went against a really good Leatherface, he was SO good
I ended up being last survivor alive, before EGC so I was trying to finish a second gen
He found me and I just stood there looking at him waiting for death to take me
He stopped revving his chainsaw and let me finish the gen
He then found the hatch and gestured me to jump in
I refused at first, he beat us fair and square, he deserved the kill
But he insisted, so I escaped
I asked him why
"I always let people go when they recognize defeat. They know I won, and that's what matters"
I dramatized this story a bit for effect, he didn't say exactly that but it's basically what he meant

If I ever see someone playing Jeff I let them live and protect them. They are majestic qtpies who are (almost) always extremely wholesome. It’s just a shame how rare they are. If anyone harms a Jeff, they become my obsession.
Only once have I been against a 4-man Jeff team. I reached peak dopamine that game.

Things that make me spare people are usually people pointing out a bug or something that looks really dumb, if they 3 genned themselves with a dude dead but didn't give up I'll give the last guy hatch, and David's running No Mither (because of the adept, that is with bad luck unspeakably painful and I'd rather just make their day much better), and people that help me farm (Idk if it's just me but if I'm playing freddy with dream pallets I try to farm it and some people do help). Things that guarantees death are teabagging at every pallet and instaheal spam, back when MoM was a poison in this game I'd specifically tunnel them to the ground, I don't run addons usually so I didn't lose anything (on a side note I loved Legion especially since he could completely deny MoM from even happening with frenzy spam)

Yes, but I have no clue what I did. Trapper let me out at egc, then I went into spec mode and watched him slug the remaining 3 until the entity came up and had lunch before they could crawl out. 🤔

I never really get let go unfortunately i play hide and seek too much for that lol (I'm a claud/meg main) but in my early wraith days i was your stereotypical wraith memer and would play try hard whole mach kill people asap then carry last to hatch (unless they had one of the cursed items; key, map, flashlight) or they wanted my attention so they could try to get a 5 gen chase in

There was one toxic survivor teabagging a leather face for the whole match generally being a toxic troll.
So I waved leather face over, and pointed at the toxic David. I then bodyblocked the toxic David so leather face could down him. We camped him together. Me teabagging him, while leather face celebrated with his chainsaw. We both bodyblocked the hook preventing any possible save. Lots of salty hate text.
It was glorious. 10/10 would do again. Only to deserving teammates of course. :)

My first ever escape was because a Doctor gave me hatch. He did it because it was Haddonfield and when he found me early I ran onto one of those porches that has no exit. He stood in the only way out until he zapped me enough times to max deviousness then let me live.

I had a game were i was playing pig and a nea with a trap got unhooked and ran right into me while i was sneaking. she stopped looked at me than came down to my level and we had a staring contest until she died. funny part was the remaining survivors joined us after they completed the last gen and bathed in her blood when she died. this game is weird at times.

I played as David vs Trapper in Rose swamp. Before EGC update.
We could not find Hex ruin and unable to do gen, Trapper killed all 3 while only 1 gen done, and there was still Hex ruin that it took another 10min and I couldnt find it. It was impossible to do 2nd gen alone for the hatch open.
But I just do gen, Trapper was coming, I ran straight to the hook, pointed at the hook to let me die. But Trapper slashed the gen tell me to do gen. But since there was still Ruin, I ran to the dull totem tbag. He led me to Ruin to cleanse, do a gen then together find the hatch and I escaped.
The game was 27min long.

Opposite games when only me died.
I as Jake in Assilyum. Game started, I was about to do gen and I saw David walked toward me. I signed him "come here" so we could do gen together. But it was the Shape. I died for provoking him.
I as Jake in Corn field. 3 gens done and no one got hurt or sight of Killer. Then I found Bubba being afk. I went find other survivors and sign them to follow me, after all of them follow me. I ran to Bubba and pointed at him "hey survivors, Bubba is being afk overthere", right at the time he was back to game. I died for provoking him.

I almost always aim for the 4K. Not saying I don’t get beat from time to time, but when possible...kill’em all!
However, if we get down to 2 survivors and I slug for the 4K, I typically notice that many times one of the 2 people quit playing...they just hide around the map hoping their teammate will take the dust bite.
On occasions like this, I reminisce my survivor games with randoms...a teammate not playing the objective in a team-oriented game does not deserve to live. So under these circumstances, I will always let the one contributing to the game’s progress go, he shouldn’t die trying while another escapes not trying.
I’m sure many other killers do something similar.

Last night I saw a Myers player lead the last survivor to the hatch. The survivor's name was "[Word for Prostitute] for Myers."

Team got wiped by Pig, I was the last one standing, but I was wounded. There weren't even enough gens done for the hatch to be open, so when she found me I motioned for her to just get it over with. I guess she took pity on me, because instead of killing me she left, found a gen, came back and escorted me to the gen. That was a fun game.
