The Mettle of Man rework

I haven't seen anyone talk about it since it went live, so i decided to come here and say my own experience with the new Mettle rework.

I have been using this perk a little bit after it's rework, trying to get it to work but failing lots of times, with either 1 stack or none. So i recently made a challenge for my myself: prestiege my Claud and always use Mettle of man, to see times i can get the perk to work. She's only p1 lv17 currently, but i only got it to work 2 times rn.

It has been a pain in the a** to get those 3 stacks, and also, i've realized that it hurts you more than helps you. It forces you to take a hit for a teammate, which forces you to heal yourself. And if you're bodyblocking the killer, he's most likely going after you after he hooked the other guy. And even if you do get the perk to work, he will be able to see your aura, and there's nothing you can do about it. You sweat more than killer games at rank 1 to get the perk to work, waste your time healing so you can keep getting the stacks, and you end up having an object of ossession with the killer, except you can't see him but he can see you, and you can't counter that.

The best thing to do is bring an instaheal and Mettle, so you can instaheal yourself when the killer comes near and you can run away with Mettle. But you'll most likely going to be forced to use the instaheal before you get all the staks.

I know that the devs surely won't read this and this is all just a waste of time, but here's an idea for a new Mettle of Man:

After getting hit 3 times by the killer's basic attack, the perk activates for 30/35/40 seconds, getting hit within this time will cause the perk to activate and the next time that you would go from the injured state to the dying state will be denied, and you will get the broken status effect for 60 seconds. After the timer ends and you don't get hit during this time, the perk loses 1 stack, that can be regained. Fully healing will NOT allow the killer to see your aura.

I think this is a nice change for Mettle since it's more viable and balanced, and you don't have to sweat so hard to get the stacks neither do absolutely nothing to get them.

I agree with this change, however I don't think after being used the stacks should be gained again, this can easily be abused and it'll be worse than the old MoM

While I do agree that this change was needed, I think that they kind of made the perk utter trash now. I wish they thought about it a little more before deciding to change it. Like they should have at least made it more doable but not so badly OP like it was before.

this would be an amazing fix, as i believe the devs turned an op perk into an almost useless perk, but with this change it wont be as toxic as before, as you cant just sacrifice yourself to get 2 stacks, and the killer will also not see your aura, which anyways made no sense, also the timer is good to add incentive to the perk, the only change i would make to this idea would be the resetting of the perk after its use, as one time use is good enough.
