Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

Why the window juke?

We've all seen it done a thousand times a survivor is in a loop around a wall with a window (maybe the KS) and the killer gets within m1 range the survivor fakes to the window just to turn back a bit and not go through but keep going it simply never works and is a last-ditch effort to avoid a hit that shows what other bad habits you've picked up making you more predictable.

It works for me like 1/5 times. Sometimes that is the only thing you have left other than a 360.

    1/5 is better than a 0/5 vault.

It's just stupid, it had a sense back in the days, when midvaulst were fast af, but since now a midvault is everytime a guaranteed hit, there's no point to fake the window, the killer can simply wait.

The day survivor will understand that is better looping around a rock, rather than 360ing, as last resort, killers will gasp.

Is a last resort move. You are gonna being hit anyways. There are no resons to not try. Also, being hit during a vault negate some of your speed burst after an hit. The best option is to just ran away to another area with full sprint. The questiom is, Why not trying that?

It will not work 99% of the times, but the reason we do this is not only hoping in the 1%, but to get the most distance possible out of it.

Yet like you said it is a last-ditch effort meaning you've been hit before exhausted all your options and now have to choose where you wanna be downed

So, whats your point? Why people shouldn't try their luck with a last desperate move?

I just don't find hope in such a small percentage (just like a kobe 4% almost never happens so why try for something even less?) I could see it being prevalent in low ranks where killers miss 50% of their hits anyways but it's not something id keep in my repertoire anywhere past 15

Its just common sense. Taking a shot even for a 1% is better than 0%.

Why not? a 1% chance of avoiding a hit is always better than a 0% chance.

Fails 95% of the time, makes you feel like a megamind 5% of the time. If you're gonna go down anyway that's pretty good odds 😄

Because a small chance is better than no chance, it is the same reason people attempt escape (whenever everyone got snowballed) and people attempt to 360.

Not sure I understand the purpose of this post, it seems obvious why.

If they are in m1 range survivor is screwed anyway, so there isn't a question of predictability, it is a question of maximum efficiency. They might have a slim chance at a juke, but like was mentioned already if they are uninjured they won't want to waste their speed burst getting hit through a vault. If they are injured they won't want to just get grabbed either, or it is preferable to get downed on one side of the vault over the other. For instance, why would you vault back into a KS with a basement if you are just going to get downed closer to the basement?
