Which perks do you find annoying to go against?
If I had to name three perks:
Sprint Burst: I don't know why but I just hate going against a survivor who knows how and when to use Sprint Burst and loops with it
Iron Will: Cause I main Spirit, no moans of pain means harder hearing.
Balanced Landing: Cause I adore falling and hitting someone who thinks using high ground is smart, this perk doesn't let me enjoy that feeling.

Lithe, Decisive Strike, borrowed Time, Dead Hard.

Ruin. PGTW. Sloppy butcher.
Sprint burst.

If I had to pick 3:
Adrenaline when I find the hatch before the last (injured) survivor and they heal, speed off and end up escaping. That often isn’t helped by RNG of exit gates, but an injured person is always easier to locate.
Distortion. I main spirit too and use Nurses calling, and it’s very frustrating when I can’t seem to find ANYONE healing yet everyone keeps getting healed.
Decisive Strike. Now I’m a hypocrite lol because I use it when I play survivor, but as a killer it always seems to occur at the WORST times, get DS and then palette or flashlight stunned straight after for overkill XD & always seems like the longest 5 seconds I’m stood there useless

Borrowed time and Sprint Burst are my least favorite. Because 1. If the whole team has BT they can just farm eachother off the hook with absolutely no downsides, and 2. is for the exact same reason you stated.
3 -
Sprint Burst: Many of the people who use it will activate it mid chase, since they will save the exhaustion cooldown for it. That wasn't it's design purpose, and it's annoying.
Adrenaline: I hate 4 man SWFs who run Adrenaline. Very few killers can counter this because very few can one shot people.
Deliverance: This perk, while balanced, isn't fun to play against. It rewards survivors for doing what they should, and undos work that killers have done and can stop a snowball that the killer had set up. In comparison to survivors, it's like having a perk that, when you hook 1 survivor, you can break down a completed generator, so that they have to complete it again.
Survivors would complain about that.
I personally do not respect Deliverance, and will just hit them down again. I always linger if I hook Adam because of that.

Boil over, because walking into the same wall three times is demoralising

Adrenaline, dead hard, decisive strike, borrowed time. Thanks god nobody uses these underrated perks in red ranks.

"In comparison to survivors, it's like having a perk that, when you hook 1 survivor, you can break down a completed generator, so that they have to complete it again."
So....pop goes the weasel? It is one of the best killer snowball perks there is. Nothing is more annoying than playing in solo q, having bad teammates, and watching the killer constantly delete your gen progress. Especially if the team can't find ruin or there are other gen slowdown tools like dying light / thana / freddy chains / etc stacked on top of it.
As killer I really hate dead hard and balanced landing. DS is pretty annoying when people try to force it on you. Head-on can be annoying sometimes but I don't see very many people use it well. Super immersive urban evaders are also a pain to deal with sometimes but doesn't feel like they are really bullying you with a stealthy gen rush; where-as like a DS into head-on stun into another head-on stun into flashlight blinds swf stack can be really frustrating.

Sprint burst

Not like that. I mean it's like a perk that allows you to destroy an ALREADY FINISHED gen to 0. Not Pop. Pop only really stops Gen tapping, really (where you tap a gen before a rescue). You also only get 12 times to use it too. Very different.
I can understand dead hard. It can be predicted, however, so it's not as big an issue to me. Same with DS.
It sounds like you have an issue with SWFs, not the perks themselves.

Um... the current High Rank Meta is DS, Adrenaline, and BT. The final being an Exhaustion perk of their choice.
1 -
I tend to hate my own builds.
Light Weight, Sprint Burst, Spine Chill, and empathy. Unless you mind game your way to a gen you will almost never find that survivor.
As killer it changes from time to time but my wraith build tends to be BBQ, Shadow Born, IAE(had thanat), bloodhound. There is no way you can vault and mind game me at the same times stick to loops but even then they barely help you

I'm not that kind of person that mock r/whooshed people, but you can easy get it's an ironic post, right?
1 -
It's hard to tell sarcasm online sometimes. Especially when you don't use inflection. : P
1 -
Saving your exhaustion for your Sprint Burst is a strat just as dirty as Camping and tunnelling. But it's still a strat and is used as a design purpose.
2 -
Ruin. It's in too many games.
It makes the match tedious and boring to go up against.
1 -
I can't deny it's worth.
1 -
Well, if gens weren't completed so quickly... we wouldn't feel the need for Ruin. Especially in High ranks. I mean, a lot of killers wait a long time to get into a game, then it's finished in 4 minutes.
It's more of a symptom of the game's flaws then a problematic perk.
2 -
I see several killers do well without ruin, so don't even say ruin is a necessary perk at red ranks. I've seen several people do well without it.
1 -
Oh i'm sorry i didn't realize this was a be triggered and be defensive thread.
Ruin is boring.
1 -
Depends on their skill and the survivors they face. A group full of purple ranks play very differently to red ranks.
True, you could use PGtW or Corrupt intervention, but it is true you need some perk to slow the game down, at least enough to get a "snowball effect" going. I rarely see killers who do not run Ruin, Pop goes the Weasel, or Corrupt Intervention for that purpose alone. Even then it doesn't guarantee that you can protect them well.
Besides, most red rank survivors can work through them, if they don't discover Ruin in the first 30 seconds.
1 -
Sorry, I've been playing too many high rank games. I'm trying to have more fun games, since ranks only change survivors, not the killers by much.
But ruin is necessary, at least until Gen rushing isn't a problem. Again, waiting 15 min for a 4 min game isn't a good trade off. Survivor mains don't seem to get that since they always get in games easily.
2 -
Don't call me a completely dirty gamer XD
1 -
Who were they playing?
1 -
There's absolutely nothing "dirty" about 99-ing exhaustion to use sprint burst more efficiently. It doesn't stop you from playing the game as opposed to camping/tunneling off the hook which basically means "I won't allow you to play - now get out out of this match".
2 -
Oh no I know that, I just said it's "dirty" so I could actually have a conversation with him.
I know it's not dirty, I just assumed if I only talked about camping and tunnelling he'd kick off

oh my god. I’ve never seen so many complaints about simple and/or balanced perks...
0 -
Franklin's or Devour Hope. Franklin's because it drops my items (clearly) and with bad ping it's even worst, and Devour Hope because for me the killer builds it up incredibly quick because the survivors farm off hook.
0 -
But the killer has to be at least 24m from the hook

As a survivor: Ruin, Noed, discordance
As a killer: Adrenaline, Sprint burst and lithe
1 -
Ds, adrenaline, borrowed

As a surv most disliked is sloppy butcher, but I've used extensively as a killer until I got more killer perks. It's not like I liked to use it as a killer, too, but when you don't have a better replacement and want survivors be busy with something what can you do?
From killer perspective my most disliked perk is DS. I like the concept, but I dislike that time is flat 60 seconds. Literal 60 seconds of being unhookable. Timer really should go off faster outside of terror radius (unless in dying state) and reset when healed.
Those times, when you see a healthy survivor doing almost finished gen and doesn't run from you, you think "I'll try to grab him to make an instant down", and when he DSes you after a grab "######### he still has IT!?" are ones of those unforgettable parts of DBD experience. "Outplayed"
0 -
Except when they miss ds and disconnect lol
1 -
@TrueKn1ghtmar3 24 Meters away from a hook isn't a lot. By the time the killer even hooks a survivor there already unhook because all they give a ######### about is their altruism points.
1 -
That distance would take just over 5s to achieve and once you do it once most survivors (especially if you don't chase someone around the hook) would realize what you are doing and insta-farm

As a survivor, I hate going against Ruin with bad teammates who can’t do gens. It’s easy to understand why most killers bring Ruin though. Honestly any totem perks at low ranks because I have to go around and destroy all the totems myself to prevent NOED and destroy Ruin/Devour Hope.
As a killer, Balanced Landing on a map like Asylum and Haddonfield is brutal. I really dislike perks like Quick and Quiet and Dance with Me because I can be pretty bad at tracking sometimes.
2 -
Adrenaline: Gens get done because of Adrenaline, not in spite of survivors having 3 perks for most of the game. It speeds the game up tremendously. It's incredibly annoying to be close to ending a chase only to have the survivors instaheal and sprint away, or have slugs get picked up off the floor. It just feels cheap.
DS: It's not an anti-tunnel perk. Stop calling it that. 15 seconds is anti-tunnel. 60 seconds is a free invincibility card for losing a chase that survivors often use offensively rather than as a defensive mechanism. I've had situations where I get hit with DS by two different slugs in a 15 second span. Efficient play is not allowed I guess.
2 -
As a survivor: NOED
Ruin until I was able to get great skill checks more often then not, now I don't care about it at all.
As a killer: Adrenalin, much like NOED its a crutch.
i don't mind DS at all, just slug them and move on to the next player, its going to be two people not doing gens longer than a hook would occupy them for.
1 -
as a Survivor: Play with your Food, Enduring + Spirit Fury and Bamboozle.
(Ruin is common nowadays and NOED too)
as a Killer: Adrenaline maybe (but instead perks I hate when they use Flashlights hahaha)
(DS and Borrowed Time only when the gates are open)
1 -
Decisive, Balanced Landing, Lithe...ish, Unbreakable.
NOED, Ruin (only at purple ranks and higher, when absolutely NOONE knows how to hit a skillcheck), PGTW.
1 -
Selfcare might be my favorite perk as a killer, its such a massive waste of time and keeps them of gens.
my favorite are people who use it vs sloppy legion.
1 -
The only survivor perks I hate going up against are Decisive Strike and Sprint Burst
