I really would like to play the game on Ultra setting other than Medium at lowest, but the problem is the game always lags like crazy. I see youtubers who (have different computers, but still) use Ultra settings and I'm pretty sure quite a few players either run on High or Ultra, yet I can't stand the amount of lag it has. If anyone knows of a way to fix it without any stupid downloading mumbo-jumbo crap. Please tell me, seriously the graphics and fps are rough to figure out for games.

lmao its not like its gonna help. i have on high settings dark souls 3 or other games on 120 fps + , yet dbd is so bad optimized , whenever i get freddy or legion map i am on bad fps . also always on 90% gpu usage . XD

I have ultra on with a 980ti with 0 lagg.
I think you should rush and buy a decent gpu

To OP: yes, u can boost your fps by some tweaking (not bannable) but honestly I wouldnt use it and change to ultra because it looks like ######### (a lot of foliage and blurry mess). Just keep it on low and increase your resolution to 100%
