Flashlight-Stun Tweaks when?
Seriously, back in the days it was okay (for technical and balance reasons) that the Killer-Blind-Rescue works how it does right now.
But in the current state of the game and when i look at what's coming I think this mechanic needs some changes. Considered realistically As long as the killer is picking up someone and a survivor is able to blind him during these 3 seconds, the stun should kick in when ever I successfully blinded him. The pick up animations interrupts when the survivor receives the Killer Blind ^^
And that's not op. Maps get reworked and flashlights have many counterplay. Personally I dont really like flashlights, maybe because theyre mostly useless, except on unexperienced killer sometimes. But also because this Item is always a risk, at least for the whole team. And if more than one survivor is playing around with a flashlight they dont do gens, meanwhile Im avoiding every Blind Rescues ^^ It's not that hard to avoid but it's super hard to be in the right position AND in time. And if the killer hugs the wall then yea...wasted time I could have gettin with a toolbox or a medkit.
This change would make the game more fun. Sadly most killers are high sensible against almost everything and everything which improves the quality of a survior gameplay = ruins the game ^^
But that's just my impression, I could be wrong but seriously I wouldnt see any problems with a change like this. I mean Bloodlust is a huge thing and we all know, maybe in a year it's completely gone.

Absolutely not. That was a thing for exactly 4 days before the devs had to revert it due to the immense backlash they received for implementing such a stupidly broken, no-skill mechanic.

Sorry for you, playing this game from 2016 and 2600 hours.
As Akuma specified, this mechanic was fine in those years but not now. Yes, we know about the experiment in 2017 when devs tried to eliminate timing in flashlights and results in chaos.
But now we're in 2019, and this is not anymore the case. Not only killers have now so much perks and items to know where survivors are, but even in the basekit, the pickup animation, the cooldown of swings, ecc... it's all different.
I'm a veteran of this game and i know what i'm saying, the timing of the flashlight needs to be removed. Don't worry, you can always tricks or look up to avoid the flashlight beam's, it's not that difficult.

Yes, you can always look up while you're locked in an animation.

Lol you know you're wrong when me and orion agree.
Take any coldwind farms map when 80% of your downs are in the middle of a field, you can't avoid a flashlight in that situation, EVER.
I do however think the pallet stuns needs altering because I've been hit while dropping a pallet on a killer who has picked up a survivor and I've taken a hit, the survivor and killer have been pushed out the pallet and the survivor wasn't dropped.

As i said, it's not that difficult to avoid a flashlight, if you saying it's not possible ot you don't play killers or you still not have much experience in the game. You can look other directions to avoid the flashlight beam's or tricks players to thinking that you pick up the downed survivor. Stop exaggerating.

Tricking wouldn't work lmao, the animation takes so long, the only reason baiting works now is because survivors have to time the flash perfectly, if they knew they had the entire animation to blind you they wouldn't come out until you started the animation.

Orion and I are actual veterans of this game, and thus I have serious doubts about your veteran status claim if you're quite apparently completely oblivious to what "animation lock" means in the context of those catastrophic stuns in 1.9.2.
You actually do not have the slightest idea of what you're talking about. There is no tricking or avoiding a flashlight blind in an animation lock. Period.

I don't know what game are you playing, but the pickup animation is so much short right now that you have all the time to tricks and turn around. Yes,you can't turn you head while your picking up but you are not consider even the situations. Even if survivors don't have timing to blind someone, you need time to blind. You didn't consider this, don't you?

Not that i'd like flashlights buffed in any way.
But what if flashlights interrupted the pickup animation the moment the killer is blinded.
Survivors then couldn't use the "remaining" animation to gain a headstart.

You don't need to have the doubt, and veteran or not, who is talking about trick or avoid flashlight during the pickup animation? I was talking about tricks and avoid before the pickup and i'm sure,if you a veteran, that you experienced these thinghs.

Since you can get blinded from the sides unless you press your Killer model up to a wall, your pre-pick-up tricks are good for nothing.
Do you really think people didn't try that stuff during 1.9.2? If it worked, we would probably have retained that garbage stun mechanic.

(Pickup animation start-blinded-remaining pickup animation-survivor is free) i remember that crap. Especially since the flashlight user got such a long headstart too.
I thought OP wanted the "remaining pickup animation after the blind" skipped.

Did you know how long ago was? We are in 3.1.2. It's much different than long ago and killers have so much items and choices right now to surpass the flashlight beam's easily. Don't you see how survivors use right now flashlight? Only on pallets. Trying to save someone it's merely impossible and a waste of time.

Flashlights haven't changed since then and pick-up only got a reduction from 4.4 to 3 seconds. That's literally all that has changed since then. There are no new Perks, Add-ons, Offerings or whatever that affect the flashlight beam or stun in any way.
As I said before, you are making stuff up. You keep talking about "counter-plays" that either do not exist or have been proven multiple times to not work in our discussed scenario.
Survivors using flashlights only at pallets is simply a sign of them not attempting to git gud and learn how to time them properly for grab rescues.

I guess implementing these flashlight interrupts could only work if the same punishment for getting hit during an animation for survivors too.
(Shameless self advert, but has this threads' idea too)
But i guess if flashlights got essier to use, we might cut their max charges or minimum charge drain per use

It's not that different that any one person with a flashlight should be able to guarantee a save, if all four survivors have a flashlight in the match then the killer would have nothing.
Alternatively, if this mechanic were a thing, survivors would make sure they went down in open areas to guarantee a save.

They certainly need to make the window for a flashlight save larger but you should still need to time it correctly, not just blind whenever you want and profit from it

They should reverse with that patch where u can Blind when u want, the timing now Is stupid because the pick up animation Is 1.5 instead of the old long animation 3.0

I'm sorry, but it's not difficult at all to find the correct stats, so how about you spend some time actually researching your stuff before you post a load of made-up stuff?
The current animation is 3 seconds. The old one took 4.4 seconds.
1.9.2 was a horrible Patch in Dead by Daylight's history and deserves to be rotting in rejected designs for all eternity, for the reasons we've already thoroughly detailed, but which you obviously didn't bother to read.

Creating demand never ends well. If you want the perk to see more play, then buff it, make it useful outside of a very specific thing which it doesn't even do very well.
