Why do killers get all the attention in the DLCs trailers?
I mean, all the spotlights and trailers are focused on the killer, there's no attenton for the survivor, it would be fair if they both appear on it, like the spirit's one with Adam, or in legion one, the survivor should't have been David, it had to be Jeff

I agree that the survivor should have his own teaser. But you have to accept that the killer teaser is more interesting for most people

Probably because new survivors are really just skins, whereas new killers are unique and different, with their own power and abilities. Also, the Halloween dlc trailer showed both Laurie and Michael.

Skins with perks. At this point most people have a dedicated main with all perks. No need to restart. Have fun with the new skin and go back to the main.
Killers are unique due to powers and movement speed and most killers will have all perks simply because builds.

Because survivor is an afterthought. Killers will always be more interesting since there’s actually something new there. Survivors don’t get anything new besides 3 often underwhelming perks.

Killers are the real big thing people look at when buying a chapter, they're the real game changers were as people already said, survivors are just a fancy skin with a voice and personalized perks.

Survivors are just skins, and skins get advertised with pictures. Why waste money making a trailer to advertise a static image when you can just make a drawing?

people only care for a new survivors until they have the teachables for their

You can get those perks on other survivors. You cant get the killers POWER on another killer.
Survivors are skins once you have all the perks.
Killers will always be unique to each other.

Ya I kinda mentioned people have survivors with all perks. I quoted someone saying Skins. I just mentioned perks as well for the teachables. Keep up in class please.

Because they are the killers. Slasher movies are also more remembered by the slasher than the survivors. Even though the final girls are well known as well, the slashers are more iconic. I mean survivors are after all just regular beeings. Even if survivors would be more like skins, the focus would be most likely on the killer, because they are more special, iconic etc.

It's more than just Survivors being skins or the Killer being more than that. It's about what DbD was inspired by. Slasher movies.
You don't watch slasher/horror movies to see the people in it. You watch them to see the monsters, the murderer, the Killer of that movie!
You don't watch F13 to see camp life, you watch them to see Jason rip people apart. You don't watch NoES for the kids/teens, you watch them to see Freddy toy with people before killing them. Halloween, Pumpkinhead, Wishmaster, Leprechaun, Critters, The Thing, Child's Play, most EVERY horror movie you watch to see the monster/s in it and how they do their work in murdering everything. Even when the normal people are the main focus like in Monster Squad or even Hellraiser to a point, the monsters themselves are STILL screen hogging drama queens that steal the show the instant they come into play.
That's why DbD puts focus on Killers. You don't play DbD to be a Survivor and just hold M1 on gens that happens to get chased. You play DbD to either be the Killer or play against Killers. To live out those slasher movies that inspired DbD in the first place.

Survivors are inherently just reskis of a basic template. The killer has a unique playstyle to other killers.
