Survivors and Killers

Please write down you side (surv, kill, both) rank (red, purple, green,...)

And what you think is considered "fair play" and "toxic play" on your opponents side.

Edit

I think I write down my part :)

As survivor around rank 5, I hate facecamping killers, mostly Billy, Leatherfaces and recently Myers with 4000 hours. I am also triggered when killer brings both ruin and noed, like how much of sucker can you be ):< ?

As killer I was at one point rank 1 legion, bit it's been while, right now I am like rank 14 trying out Myers. And, well, these guys are weirdly chill, I guess they weren't poisoned by toxic side of game base. Yet.

    Both red.

Fair play? Basically anything that isn't an exploit.

Toxic play? I guess certain things like hitting a hooked survivor can be considered toxic by most people, but i personally don't really care. I actually enjoy toxicity.

Mostly killer but I play both sides. Both sides usually rank 1 except for now due to rank reset. Will probably not play a lot till the next chapter gets released because I'm bored of both sides at the moment.

As for what's fair and what isn't: I think there aren't too many things in the game that I'd consider "unfair" or "toxic" tbh and the few things I can't stand are never going to change so it's no use mentioning it.

    What is this an intervention?

Both, killer rank 4, surv rank 5 (before yesterday's re-rank).

Killer: Toxicity is to camp or tunnel when it wasn't the survivor's fault (you know? those random dudes who get unhooked and run right towards you or have the bad luck to find you the next 3 minutes after?), I don't mind slugging, that's a strategy, not an exploit... ANY PERKS GO, I don't mind playing against a ruin or a NOED, you need to be smart, you're a SURVIVOR, not a killer bully.

Survivor: Anything, if they gen rushed me is cause I lacked good patrolling, sometimes is better to hit everyone once instead of downing a specific surv just to make them scatter.

BTW... If I find you with a map you're dead... I usually use maps to get rid of the 5 totems as soon as the game starts and as a killer I ain't playing against that, got a map? got my attention

Uhm I don't remember my highest killer rank. It is a long time ago. I guess it was something around 4, or 6.

The point is, after a rank reset, I had just play for fun and had let the most survivor go. So even with hundrets of game after that, I had thanks to my behavior only stay at rank 15 mostly. Sometimes it was a bit more, then again 15 and so on...

My highest Survivor rank was 9. My survivors I had play less for fun and mainly for looking how the survivor game play is. So that I could use this knoweldge to play better mindgames with survs and so on and also because of the dailies I had got (feeled I got always bombed with either surv, or nurse dailies for what ever reason).

Me and my dailie luck ->

dbd: Play survivor and survive a match.

me: Damned dbd, I am a Killer - Legion main. Recognize my main PLOX! *takes a new card*

dbd: Safe 3 survivors from a hook

me: quieter voice Thanks dbd :|

    Hmmm

Not what I was expecting to see, but I can relate.

    Gl with dailys :)

What did you have expect to see? :)

After the first rank reset, I guess, was just my spirit gone to go again in higher ranks. Besides I still got my games against red ranks. Don't know if the matchmaking is still the same, but to the time I had play it was the case and I have found that ok.

It was just another reason, not to rank up. Because why rank up, if you get already everything on lower ranks?

I didn't meant rank, I wanted to hear what makes you mad that survivors or killers do, not game itself

Aw you are right. My mistake. Have forget it about the rest.

Survivor could mostly annoy me with the extensive use of flashlights.

Killers could annoy me most with... Mhm... I don't know... Well with choosing Meyers I guess. But this was not the fault of Meyers, it was just so that I have meet him more as every other killer and sometimes I had wish, that I got a bit more variety as 60/40 of 100%, of my survivor games, or what ever it feeled for me was.

    @Azurlynx

Edit: And yes, I know the counter to flashlights. Still, they can be annoyance in certain situations, but I would nothing call from it toxic, besides flashlights in very rar situations.

Edit²: You see, I am a very calm person^^. It's hard to enrage me :).

Both roles generally around purple ranks, probably could get to red but who cares

Every game style is fair play, just some behaviours are toxic

T-bagging right after dropping a pallet, face camping, etc.

Basically unnecessary things done to annoy and nothing else are toxic, in my opinion at least

I think at one point I also played against just Myer, but right now, I would take Myers anytime over Spirit, Nurse or Hag.

    Survivor - Red

Killer - Anywhere from purple to red depending on how much I play killer that season.

Besides one exception and the obvious (literal cheating like lagswitching) I mostly find people getting incredibly hostile in post-game chat to be the only truly toxic thing. In-match actions are a big "whatever" to me, but if people feel the need to say straight up bannable ######### in chat because they can't contain their rage then yeah, they should probably get a forced break for both their own good and the good of the people they play with and against.

The exception is people that hold long-term "grudges". I find it incredibly petty and I guess "toxic". Myself I have some guy that hardcore tunnels + proxy camps me with an ivory mori every game I get them because according to them I tunneled them back in February this year. I might have done so even though I generally don't tunnel unless the alternative is ignoring the only survivor I see and it happens to be a recently unhooked one, but jesus christ dude 😄

So, you have someone who always thinks on you?

It's time that dbd gets a love song as chase music :).
