I've started to use NOED.
I play this game 3 years, and a whole 2016 and first half of 2017 I was survivor main, thats bcs I hated NOED. I never used it until august of 2019. I've started to use NOED and...
This is awesome. I fundamentally don't use Ruin. I quiet frequent was getting frustrated when I played Legion, Clown, Pig, Freddy, etc bcs of gen rushing. Its really really hard to apply pressure as them. And punishing survivors for not doing totems, for gen rushing, ohhh I love it!

Have fun! :)

so.. i see you have succumbed to the darkness

Freddy has really good map pressure tho
4 -
Good for you mate.
5 -
Fun fact, use PGTW and BBQ on Freddy and it's practically guaranteed that you'll 4k
2 -
A veteran player (for me someone who played since release) who is using noed? Shame on you :s
1 -
At least, I don't use NOED on Spireh XD
2 -
However you enjoy the game
3 -
“I can’t ride a bike so I put training wheels on” post
8 -
How dare you use something that the game makes available through regular and fair play?!
Reeeeeeeeeeeeee
Some of the posts here are really sad and pathetic.
3 -
Not really. I saw a lot of Freddy using BBQ and PGTW and they didn't 4k. It's not guaranteed.
2 -
@Marcus My use of the word "practically" was intentional

Welcome to the darkside!

I love NOED, I use it as a ''SUPRISE, BITCHES!!!'' mechanic, *whispers sometimes i let them get the last Gen on purpose ;) sshh.
1 -
It's true that there are way better perks to run than noed and it's also true that killers who rely on NOED tend to be bad, but personally i sometimes feel like running meme builds or just for giggles i equip NOED :)
1 -
*hangs in unused corner of map while three gens are left*
"Stay there, gen is 90%, don't go near the killer, incoming heal, maybe go towards that exit gate away from us all for the guaranteed opening?"
= Skillful, fair, and balanced gameplay
Really, though, if you're not doing totems, destroying the NOED totem asap, leaving the trial asap, not running Borrowed Time/saving DS for Endgame plays, etc. that's on you.
Both NOED and Adrenaline are fine right now, with generator time being the real game breaker.
3 -
Good on you. You play how you like.
6 -
Play how you like. I'm a survivor main who ALWAYS starts the game doing nothing but cleansing totems at the expense of gens. Guaranteed no NOED affects my team. Some teammates may not like it but it saves their behinds every game I'm in.
1 -
Have fun and ignore people that whine about it.
Just please don't become one of the ASCENDED brain rot players that complain about survivors breaking your totems or leaving asap when they realize you have it please 😄
3 -
Noed shows you don't know how to use the killer. Becomes a shortcut to help you towards the end.
3 -
This guy has watched all of your matches and knows how you play.
LOL

I too started using NOED, Simply to try slow down the game.
Ruin lasts all of 5 seconds but at least if NOED gets destroyed that's 70 seconds of the game not doing gens.
Gens especially with toolboxes and adrenaline just go too fast, Honestly I wish more Killers would run NOED and force survivors to do Totems as a second objective. At least until the Devs address gen times.

Any perk becomes a shortcut to an extent.

NOED is in a fine spot. I run it when I do endgame builds and it goes off half the time or lasts for about 20 seconds even when it does go off. I'd wager that it's mostly bad/salty survivors complaining about it.

You've got to be new to Freddy if you struggle with applying pressure as him. He's got a teleport for a reason you know.
1 -
Noed doesn't guarantee a 4k at most you'll get 1 or 2 vs decent survivors. Only potato fall for noed
0 -
Adrenaline is a shortcut because you don’t know how to heal, dead hard is a shortcut because you can’t loop, borrow time is a shortcut because you don’t know when to safely unhook... see how it goes
1 -
Meh, I prefer consistency. Oh sure NOED's great when it works but it can be taken out of the game within 2 seconds and usually once everything's gone to the end-game and there's more then 2 survivors left it's usually a loss anyway
Give me Corrupt Intervention and Pop Goes The Weasel anyday. Though I will admit the use of NOED can let you relax more throughout the game and not have to worry too much. I just stay away from Hex perks that aren't Haunted

I don't really care when m1 killers use noed, but using it on killers who are broken is just annoying. I saw a three blink nurse use noed today and it's just like why?

If your struggling to apply pressure with Freddy
Run Make Your Choice, BBQ, Weasel, Hex: Haunted Grounds
Absolute INSANE pressure. You will have them exposed so often they'll eventually succumb to attrition and just stop healing meaning everyone can now be one shot
BBQ and Weasel combined with Freddy's teleport allows you to maintain control on oppisite sides of the map. Playing on Yamaoka and the survivor ran you to the other side of the map? Just hook him, teleport to the generator, pop it, patrol and then go smack the survivor that ran to unhook with make your choice, and do it all over again
When you play him right he is insane at the pressure. Also run Dream Snares especially with Unicorn block as they can be really nasty in the right situation with that add-on

Unicor Block ? That add-on is trash.

Little in this game is more satisfying than personally cleansing all or nearly all of the totems and then on the results screen seeing that the killer had NOED equipped. Sometimes they even DC once it's end game and they don't get their one hit downs.
1 -
Only to those without imagination, it completely counters maps, bond, empathy, denies seeing the auras of survivors downed or hooked, and the kindred effect. Very powerful in the right situation, but your free to use whatever add-ons you want. Though I highly stress using Dream Snares
0 -
Oh, so you counter the things that almost no one uses and the things that matter are irrelevant with a 60 seconds timer. So it's still a trash add-on.
0 -
It's a situational add-on, it's a built in Hex: The Third Seal on a power you can spam over and over again
It's not the best but it's hardly trash
0 -
It’s not bad, but Freddy has a lot stronger addons. If you’re out and don’t wanna spend BPs then sure, but I’d rather use any of the slowdown addons and the ones that penalize failed checks. Then he had the really strong Pinks

Took you long enough ;-) Enjoy

Idk, I do see bond a lot.

Idk, I just consider a game where 5 gens get done as a failure as a killer. I used NOED a lot for the first 100 hours or so (Especially when I played a lot of Trapper) but my goal as killer is points and pips, and NOED kind of goes against that.
I have nothing against it, but even M1 killers can apply pressure if you play smart, but its always got the stigma of using it is admitting defeat. (The psychological effect of being called baby, noob, various slurs for daring to use a perk might be part of this bias too though.)
0 -
Good choice!
0 -
If you feel that stigma it's just because the survivors got to you. I have used NOED from day 1 and never looked back. I laugh at the critics I get from dead survivors so hard I cough my lungs out.
My objective is to not let any survivor escape, to crush their hope and to spit on their corpses. NOED serves that purpose just fine
