Are Hanging Meat Shields a Thing of the Past?
This is something I’ve only recently noticed.
A while ago it used to be common practice for a survivor to run to the hook for rescue with the killer right behind. The, um, 2-legged survivor would get on the opposite side of the hooked one, so that when the killer attacked, the hit would be absorbed by the hanging one. This would provide time for the rescue to complete and both survivors had a chanc3 to get away.
What I’m seeing now is that the killer’s attacks tend to go through the hooked survivor and hit the healthy one. I’ve seen this new arrangement occur from all three perspectives: as killer, rescuer, and rescuee. Anybody else notice this change? (PS4 btw)

I know its not the purpose, I just thought it funny imagining this.
Survivors- STOP TUNNELING RIGHT OFF HOOK, GO FOR THE UNHOOKER!!!
also Survivors- -treats rescuee as meat shield-

No, not really.
Whenever i'm stupid by not taking my time to go around, i'll hit the hooked Survivor.

Maybe your meat shield experience was at a lower rank with worse killers? Any half decent killer will just go around hooked survivor to hit the rescuer in my experience
