Hex ruin or not

I would like to know if you too think that the generator is too easy to do without ruin hex?when I am a killer I am obliged to play with hex ruin because otherwise all the generators are made in 5 min. Developers should do something for that.

I don’t think ruin is needed, if I don’t have PGTW then I’ll use ruin. I also don’t like ruin because I can’t run devour hope with it.

Yeah sure make every gen last 30 minutes and see the survivor population drop to zero. Gens were 60 s when the game came out and they already increased the time massively. I never need ruin as a killer.

Well congratulations to you. Your parents must be proud.

To answer the question, If you have other means of slowing the game like Pop, then Ruin isn't necessary. It does make things easier and less stressful though, especially if you don't let yourself care when it gets busted.

Thanks, I’ll take your advice over people who play the game literally for a living

No its not "needed". You can win without Hex: Ruin. But its going to be harder.

There is no shame in using Ruin to make your job just a tiny bit easier.

You don't need it but it's sometimes nice to slow a game… JUST A LITTLE BIT

Ruin is a cointoss perk (just like a few other Hexes). A lot of the time it spawns right next to the survivors and some of the time it doesn't. I went into a round once and heard a small fire crackling noise. Wondered what the heck it was, went into the next room (literally only like 5-6 steps), low and behold it was a Hex. And it was most likely Ruin. So occasionally you might find you just wasted a perk slot. Sometimes you also get people who don't care Ruin is up and still work on gens (and do it well). Other times, it'll take few minutes or maybe even the whole game for people to find it.

Ruin is a mainstream perk though and since it's not 100% reliable I don't use it and never will.

Great skill checks are not too difficult. Sometimes I only get two skill checks appearing and the gen gets done in no time. Hex is a gamble

No, it is not "needed" but it does help make the job of guarding the gens easier, even though it dies within 30-60 seconds, that can stall the game just a little bit as survivors are off gens during that time. Maybe, you can catch a survivor during that small window.

The perk in general is just a giant cointoss though whether it "worked" to help slow down the game or not whether its up or destroyed, and I would say your probably better off running other perks like PoP instead or take them along with Hex Ruin. Up to you how you want to play.

Depends on the killer, but I generally don't run ruin.More often than naught, it's found within the first three minutes. Waste of a perk slot, for me. PGTW all the way.
