Bad habits you can’t shake off

What are some bad habits you know if you changed it could improve your gameplay but you’re somehow stuck in your ways?

For me I sometimes won’t abandon chase even when I know I should as killer. I also feel like every build I use needs to include BBQ,

i also underestimate how important it is to hug walls when being chased and being too predictable in faking window vaults.

What are yours?

I dont know if this is a bad habit or not but I always go back to the hook after someone is unhooked if I'm not busy doing anything/ cant find anyone

When a survivor DCs I usually start tryharding and tunneling everyone because I hate DCs. I know it's not their fault, but I can't help myself.

I also underestimate how important it is to hug walls. I also can never find pallets when I'm not near a T wall or a the cow thing, or certain recognizeable spots, and I never memorize them. I'm not great at chases, I prefer hiding.

As for faking window vaults, I think they pretty much removed that because now killers know you can't fast vault without making a huge L so you might as well not even try. I haven't seen any killers swing at windows anymore.

As killer, when someone's annoying me to no end I have face camped, and their SWF friends flock to the hook and get them off anyways. It annoys me to no end. It's usually when they're trying their hardest to lure me away from one of my hexes and then there are 3 others behind me waiting to jump on it, tbagging me at every pallet, being as optimal as possible(knowing it's a rank 1 survivor with much lower ranked friends), and then making my blood boil while I eat their DS. I also still fall for DS sometimes.

Its hard to just let go sometimes, you know? When chasing a survivor, I occasionally chase them just a bit too long.

@PhantomMask20763 That's the normal thing to do, no worries.

I generally refuse to take off WGLF as surv.

I tend to push for extra salt when I get it post game (though, in my defense, when people are chill I also try to make sure everyone leaves happy. Kinda read the room and respond accordingly)

Somehow missing once always, invariably, turns into me missing 2 to 3 more times because it goes to my head

If a gen is close to being done I'm commiting until I get pulled off even if I know in the back of my mind I just barely don't have enough time

I forget to use Pop Goes the Weasel half the time when I'm running it

I forget to use Freddy's new teleport

Deadhard? Since when did I have that? (There's a bit of a theme here)

Same. All the time. And I tend to run the extra hatchets too, making this habit even more silly

Committing to a chase when I should be pressuring generators.

    Lunging when I shouldn’t have.

Chasing in the very strong main buildings when the generator is already done so I have no purpose to ever go back into that building.

Staying close by the hook too much when I see nobody on BBQ. Especially if I know it is a very altruistic SWF group.

Too nice. 😔 When someone dc’s while I’m chasing and a survivor gives up I automatically stop and farm. Really anytime a survivor gives up I feel sorry and I let them escape. Especially the baby dweets. ☺️ I shouldn’t as a killer but I have to sometimes..

Chasing obviously skilled survivors around the whole map. Seriously, by the time I've caught him 3 gens are done and the 4th is halfway to being popped. Why don't I learn? lol

Also, being scared I won't find a survivor so I stick to a chase I really shouldn't. Pretty much the same as the previous statement.

@My_Farewell YES! Headbutt the survivors to death!

I guess my bad habits are that I tend to go to try and over extend my ability as survivor, try and keep track of to many things instead of focusing on the objective or going for a save. And as killer I feel it's somewhat the opposite, like I'll either focus on chasing and downs, or protecting gens and sometimes that can lose me a gen or an easy down.

I never remember what stuff I am using. My pig never remembers to put hats on people, I always forget to use my Mori, I never remember to use dead hard and I often walk up to a generator thinking I have a toolbox and drop my firecracker in front of it.
