Netflix partnership
So DBD partnered with Netflix in order to get a stranger things chapter, are the devs potentially thinking about having future talks with neflix for a DBD series? If not I would love to see this idea come to fruition.
Potential up sides:
1. Increase player base by increasing public awareness.
2. It will give us a further in-depth lore (we can even have a narrator who is meant to be benedict or vigo)
3. We already know that the playable characters aren't the only ones in the fog so we can have different killers each episode or every few episodes and survivors can also change at a random intervals as well.
4. It can be an opportunity to showcase killers that have powers or forms that would be considered "game breaking"
5. New chapters can be showcased on the show this removing that production cost from BHVR as well as increasing hype for the newest chapters.
Down sides:
1. Licensed characters couldn't appear on the show.
2. (If 5 on upsides is followed) it would mean the end of licensed chapters (unless you could be the character for both medias)

To be honest. I would really love to see DbD in other media. I think the core concept of a lot of the original killers and the entity setting itself is quite promising. On the other hand such a project would be big and would take a good amount of time. I'm pretty sure Behaviour would take the opportunity, if a network or content provider like Netflix would show interest. But I doubt that DbD is considered big enough yet as a brand to gain such interest.

Which is why if anyone it has to be Netflix since they've already partnered for this chapter they are far more reachable

I would love a DbD series. Would be a blast to see any of the OC from here featured, even in an animated form

I mostly see it being a pain in the ass to set up the whole "slamming you down on a meathook" thing in live action, but if they can get around it easily enough I'm down

Yeah, because a Netflix adaptation would get a budget on par with a blockbuster release /S

I would not bet on Netflix for a long time partnership. When Disney releases their streaming platform, Netflix will have a slow and painful death. They just don't have the resources and original content to compete with them.

The original Texas chainsaw massacre was FAR from a Blockbuster, only having a budget of 80-140k. That was back in the 70s and weve gotten alot better with the VFXs we can do pretty cheaply. They could hook someone up to a harness and add the hook going through them all on the computer. If you need to have an extended shot of the survivor with the hook, could do it similar to the pipe in final destination 2 where they pretty much just glued it on.
