Be Nice!
Remember, we'll be getting many new players, and part of the reason we don't keep some players is because of toxicity. Remember to just be nice when the new players arrive to keep them around, more players equals more money which means more or better content.
Just a reminder.

The stranger things chapter will bring in a boatload of newer players curious and interested.

I'm ready to be not ready to not being able to be ready for the most basic of survivors, bring it on "I'll let you live" shush! It's our little secret.

Was tempted to make a post like this lol. Hopefully the majority of people will understand we’re most likely going to be getting a l o t of new players so making them have a fun experience will be nice. I’m sure they’re still going to be toxic trolls who’ll think it’s funny but hopefully not much. 😅
I’m just hoping for new people they don’t immediately go against an experienced survivor/killer then see if this is the case and go on the forums only to see “######### this perk” “nerf this crap now” “noed is ######### stupid” and whatever. Here’s hoping they enjoy the game! 💖

Same, Long term this is really good for the game too. Everyday DBD is growing, my only concern though is that it's graphics can also be a bit more polished in time as well. If this game had maybe slightly better graphics it will be phenomenal.

For sure, I'm going to make sure to be nice to survivors in this coming patch, Most likely letting a lot of them go hopefully just teach them lessons like how to punish killers for mistakes etc.

Hopefully. They are also reducing the perk grind not just for us current players, but to make the game more appealing starting out for newer players. I know the two biggest reasons people leave is the toxicity and the grind. One of those is being fixed. Unfortunately their will always be toxic people in this community. It is a multiplayer game and some people just like playing that way. In regards to immediately playing against an experienced survivor or killer, they better hope the DLC doesn't drop at rank reset, because that might ruin their plans to recruit more people since EVERYONE will be lower ranks. I think a good way to fix this might be so people with say 500 hours can't be paired with someone with 10 hours. There shouldn't be allowed to be a massive gap like there is now.

This needs to be pinged

Agreed. I always believe in making my lobbies as fun as possible. There's too little honor amongst gamers nowadays as silly as that is to say
Treat others the way you want to be treated you never know it may make the other player's day

Good luck, the game doesn't tell killers the most efficient way to play, so newer players in the killer role will camp the hell out of their first hook consistently until they hit a barrier, and then that will determine if they stay and try to find better, less frustrating ways to get their kills or leave. New survivors will hit that same wall sooner rather than later, because they're being camped from their very first game. In the end, it's the newer players that will determine whether they stay or go.
@Crazewtboy More experienced killers might actually make them stay, as they don't camp as much. It's the newer killers that camp the most, because they don't know any other way.

You make a good point. I didn't even think about that. I guess in the end it will boil down to the newer players. This certainly isn't a game for people with no perseverance though. You have to be able to look at your mistakes and adapt. People who can't do that probably won't end up liking the game. I wish them all luck though. We all know this is not an easy game to learn.

@Crazewtboy I personally believe that barrier to entry is the main reason we have so few survivors. It sucks being camped, and it sucks facing off against a camper when you want everyone to get out. It sucks even more when you know what you need to do to beat a camper, but the rest of your team doesn't have that same thought process. There are a lot of things in lower ranks that are extremely frustrating to deal with for survivors, and killer is extremely easy in those low ranks because you don't have to think about anything, just hook one person, stay there, and the others will come to you like flies to a campfire. It's why I've been working on survivor so much recently(aside from trying to get all perks on David). I don't want to deal with those types of games anymore when I play survivor. It generally means a depip. Green and purple ranks have much less of that. Anything less though and it's pretty much a tossup of what you'll get.

We got some bad news, I think I just scared a new player away for a little. I was playing Ghostygoo and I heard footsteps in the basement so I hid behind the doorway and when I heard rapid footsteps I started peeking. I popped out from around the corner and they just froze. I downed them and they didn't struggle they were so terrified.

I’ll be nice (not camp/tunnel) but I refuse to give new players easy or free escapes. That’s the kind of thing that can lead to entitlement and toxicity itself down the road.

I'll play nice, won't let them all escape thougn

Yesssss!!! @Gardenia
I think we all remember what it was like to be new with no skill and perks. That is a challenge in and of itself...and to deal with people intentionally deranking to bully new killers/survivors is just gross.
Yes, we all want fresh meat to play with.. but we don't need to be jerks about it especially when they are in potato phase.

Yeah so if you see little baby demogorgons, Steves, and Nancys, play the way you usually would, just dont be toxic and message them bad things. Idk about you but I want shorter queue times, so please be nice.
