Why was Huntress humming changed
Am I crazy or was her humming sound directional before?
Either remove it completely or make it directional. Its driving me crazy I hear her behind me yet she's standing in front of me, well done.

yes, the lullaby was directional before. They changed it mainly because of Freddy, now it’s more dangerous to stay asleep. Huntress got the buff too.

I mean, she's humming; you should not be able to hear it past 10 feet away, max. :P
These are supernatural killers; she throws hatchets hard enough to shatter the solid steel heads on them. Plus they should EMBED in people.
She clearly is obsessed with the song & humms it all the time to soothe herself, the Entity latched onto that and made it part of her powers; Survivors hear it and it screws with them (Hence Hex: Huntress' Lullaby messing with skillchecks). So it's not a huge leap that they can hear it, but not discern where it comes from.
Plus, game balance > reality

It was completely unfair for huntress to give her exact location away and removed any mind games she could do..this is much more fun and spooky..just watch what your doing and you'll be fine just like any other killer

Yeah I get why they changed it, its just annoying really. Right now the humming still has a direction just not where huntress actually is, its stupid really.Just remove the humming altogether? I mean if they actually want to buff her that is. I always thought that double TR was a dumb idea

I just wish they'd give her the normal 115% move speed.

The humming was put in as an advanced warning, since she has a long range attack.
Then the devs realized that it was too much of a warning; you would know where she was coming from and bail too easy.
So, they changed it to be omni-directional, which helps keep her as a surprise. if you thought she was behind you & she was in front of you instead, her humming did it's job.
It's also a part of her backstory that she's humming the song her mother used to hum to her, and hummed to her while bleeding to death.
They're not going to remove what's a vital part of the characters mechanics & backstory just because you don't like it.

I'd rather them buff her speed while holding a hatchet than buff her lullaby.

Its not that I don't like it, it just makes no sense and its a bit dumb. I mean with Freddy it makes sense because its the dreamworld its his environment. He's in control. If he wants to [BAD WORD] you with sounds he can.
Huntress should not be able to that. She making a sound with her mouth how is it explained that she can transfer that sound to a different location? Did her mother teach her?

You're trying to apply logic to a game.
If anything, the excuse can be 'The Entity Did It'. It empowered her so that her humming disorients Survivors, and thus they don't know exactly where it's coming from.
It's fine. They're not going to change it, and it makes perfect sense in terms of game lore. You're just trying to add 'real world' logic. Stop.

Its pretty stupid, specially in a game that 2 hits take you down, we are not deaf so we can have a sense of audio direction, killer has BBQ so there is no counter for us, at some point people will get tired of this and will quit the game.
There are more survivors than killers playing, thats a fact.

Once again. SHE IS DISORIENTING YOUR CHARACTER.
Since they can't actually physically disorient the player, they use small 'cheats', like making the sound omni-directional.
Just like how the screen wobbles for people hit by the Clown power; they can't make YOU get drugged, so they fake the effects by changing your screen.
Stop with his 'there's more Survivors' threats bullcrap I've been seeing the past few days. That's the threat of a 12 year old latching onto any reason to get his own way. Grow the hell up.
If anyone quits because they can't hear which direction the huntress is coming from. If they quite over so tiny a detail; Dead By Daylight was not for them. Bye. Have fun elsewhere.

This is ridiculous for me because we only hear the lullaby but zero terror radius, it's impossible to know where is she coming unless she is in front of us, or if we see her from far away.

That's the point. Quite exactly.
1) It was made omnidirectional so you would not know where she was coming from until her terror radius kicks in
2) It was made bigger than her terror radius because she has a ranged weapon.
It's meant to be an advanced warning WITHOUT telling you WHERE she is. Just that she is near.

Nope, it wasnt like that before, so there is no disorienting, is she using little bluetooth speakers all over the map to DISORIENT?
Be a man and accept the fact that there are more survivors than killers in this game, grow a huge pair and take the truth.
Its such a little thing sort of catch you from behind like you are some idiot because the game wants to give everything to killers, and then he hooks you, and when someone rescues you and is healing you another surv gets hooked BBQ pops in and you are #########.
Learn to play the game and for the love of god, use your head to search survs intead of that stupid perk everyone uses even in high ranks, makes the game boring, and there is no challenge for a killer if he knows everything already.

Why don't you grow a pair and accept that the Devs changed her and stop all this BS sniveling about 'mOrE sUrViVoRs!' and 'It WaS nOt LiKe ThIs BeFoRe!' and 'No In-GaMe ReAsOn!' to demand changes that favor you?
Why don't you learn to play the game yourself, before making childish threats about 'We're the bigger player base!' and 'We'll cry in your blankets & leave!' and insulting someone who gave you valid reason, both from a balance stand point AND a lore stand point, as to why the Huntress is as she is?
But, of course, you will stomp around and plug your ears and go 'LALALALA! Huntress no make sense! CHANGE HEEER! There's more of us! Cater to uuuuuuuus!'
Grow up and stop with the 'We are many' threats. No one is scared, and no one will miss you if you leave because you don't like the Huntress. The Devs don't need players like you making threats to demand stupid balance ideas and guess what?

Well let's see. You have been told the entity would have the ability to make the hum omnidirectional, been told that bbq has multiple counters which I can easily list for you right now. Also real world logic doesn't need to apply to a game.

But it really doesn't. Age does not dictate intelligence nor the ability to get a job. There are plenty of people older than me that can't get a job because of varying factors.
