SWF breakes the game

SWF is like a 5 perk and it is... unfair? Extremely organised SWF players with meta perks are OP bcs they break and ignore some game mechanics:

  1. SWF players have integrated Kindred perk
  2. They ignore Blindness Status Effect and Knock Out is nothing for them
  3. If one found a Hex Totem, all found it and it will be destroyed as soon as possible
  4. They know each other's perks and can coordinate them with each other for maximum efficiency

SWF players know their exclusive power and, not always, but they can be VERY toxic. It is not funny to play vs them. Why I have to suffer for their fun?

Devs said that they are gonne reduce diiference between SWF and solo players, at least make the Kindred a base ability, and then buff killers, but they did nothing. Why? DbD is 3 years, I think the were able to solve this problem.

    I suggested a new game mode, that I think would help, Chaos Mode. You can look up it’s separate thread, but it basically suggested 12 survivors, 3 killers in 1 game. Even if all 12 are 3x SWF groups, the killers could now communicate also, which changes everything.

    If ever made a reality, I’m sure some tweaks would be in order to balance FairPlay, but I have no doubt it would be legit fun, for both sides...win or lose.

    Well until solos are buffed sufficiently the devs wont do much in this regard..we have no idea their plans atm and they havent shared anything new

    Make solo gameplay more interesting, thats the only viable solution i find to the problem

    punishing people for playing with their friends isnt the way to go.

    When I find a SWF group (I check their profile to see if they are friends with each other) I know I have a too altruistic group I can exploit.

    Just try to catch the least talented one and camp it. The others will probably come like flies to honey. If not, you will at least have to deal with 3 of them instead of 4.

    against my ebony 4 blink nurse swf doesnt stand a chance and so fun to see them crying in post chat

    The current state of the game is really difficult for new solo players. Imagine new player retention rates are at an all time low.

    just remove swf so there wont be new players invited by their friends to play with them :) ~sarcasm btw

    but tbh what youre describing is extremly rare case, when 6% of games has 4men, and less than 1/10 of those 6% are tryharders xd

    well tryharding swf and 3blink ruin nurse are worth each other (and i would tell 3 blink ruin nurse is waaaay more common)

    Honestly i can see why they haven't touched SWF though I really wish they would.

    SWF is a necessity for the game, or any game in general. Playing with friends is a must. You also can't put penalty or nerf someone just for playing alongside a friend even though it does have the potential to be game braking.

    What needs to be done is buff solo play so it's more on par with the level of information sharing that SWF has. I get that this would change the game a lot but SWF being in game has already done that.

    The only reason I can think of as to why they haven't done anything yet is time. The Devs are notoriously slow at big and sometimes even small changes. Buffing solo would mean a lot of work would need to be done on the killer side to balance things out and that in my opinion basing on how slow things get done would take months and months for them to fix.

    thing is in dev stream #5 that the devs deleted off their channel..

    THE DEVS THEMSELFS orginaly did NOT want SWFs in the game due to issues concerning game balance.. i wonder why

    It does make things difficult, and it often lessens the fun factor. But voice comms can't do anything about you putting them on hooks faster than they can do gens. Easier said than done, I know. But nothing is stopping killers from running exhaustion add ons, instadowns, etc. Even the odds.

    They could at least fix matchmaking. It can be hard enough to go against SWF on your skill level. But when you barely reached green ranks and you are forced to play against red rank SWF with 2k+ hrs each, it is just ridiculously unfair.

    Alternatively, killers could be able to see survivors ranks AND number of games played (smurfs) and dodge if necessary.

    To avoid some survivors getting stuck in low ranks there would be some bonus bloodpoints for playing against them.
