You do realize that updates are slower on console because the devs have to pay for every update, so it's more cost effective to wait for big patches instead of doing micro-patching?
Plus, they have to get the okay from sony/microsoft/whoever every time they wanna patch?
PLUS, the way the console's software is set up may prevent a PTB alltogether?

Personally I think he's going to be pretty strong. His teleport pads take 18 sec from what I counted on stream to disarm and his lunge is pretty ######### huge.

I'm not saying I don't think a turd would be bad, I'm playing devil's advocate here. I think a turd would be bad and I also think the new killer will be bad. You seem to think no one can have an opinion until they've played it, so I'm using an analogy, that being that you don't have to eat a turd to know it isn't going to taste good because taste isn't the only information you are getting and isn't the only thing you can use to examine something, just as the new killer can be understood without being played.
Maybe people can't fully understand the killer without playing it, and you won't know for a 100% fact that a turd is going to taste bad unless you eat it, but all the other evidence is there and there would be nothing wrong with forming an opinion based on that evidence

consoles lead to issues with patches and updates..
(Basically BHVR gives the update it goes to sony/microsoft , they receive it. Now they have to get it live to be updated which could be a few days later from when they actually received it which also means it's more expensive for BHVR to go out of their way to do this .. even for PTB's)
Long story short consoles suck and lead to bigger problems, just wait.
BTW The devs will never put PTB's on consoles

"OH YOU HAVE TO WAIT TIL THE PTB BECAUSE THAT MAGICALLY MAKES PERKS THAT HAVE BEEN ANNOUNCED BETTER!!!"
And almost every single time, we know what the outcome is. People used this same stuff to defend GHOSTFACE'S perks. They were literally trash and only barely got changed before release.
Personally, I'm liking the new content balance wise, the perks seem decent but not ridiculous. The power's strength, I can't judge, because I feel like it entirely relies on how the pounce feels in a chase which wasn't shown well in the stream.
Overall, I just think that the power is completely unrelated to the monster or the show and really uninspired with the amount of options the show's lore could have allowed, and that's not something the PTB is going to change.

The game was originally never ment to be for console.It came out on other platforms because they were many suggestion and it would help the player base grow.So you should be grateful that this game is on the platform you own.Devs are hard at work and can't make everyone happy.People have been playing this game for 3 years on pc so please be respectful to us and the devs.
