Is SCP related Chapter even possible?
After "Stanger Things" became part of the Entity's Realm, could "SCP" universe became part of it too?
As far, as I know, at the moment, original english SCP wiki and all (or at least most) materials there are protected by "Creative Commons License" (https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/).
@Peanits @not_Queen If it is possible, could you tell if there is any possibility that SCP related characters are ever going to make it into the Entity's Realm. Thank you for any reply!

Most the SCP things are...things. A room that devours people. A doll that moves at the speed of thought and kills anyone who blinks. A soda that gives you super-human speed but burns out your body. A marching band that makes other people join in until they die of exhaustion..
It would be neat but..Not too many SCP's are even humanoid.

If you can figure out how to get the lincese for something like that sure

I think anyone can use the license, just not for profit. Example, if SCP was to get in, if it was paid DLC then that's a lawsuit. If it's free, it's good.

Maybe, maybe not?
I mean, if someone who made an SCP page were to sue, they could claim any upsurge in players (and thus sales of the base game) after the SCP DLC was added could be attributed to SCP being in the game. Thus, legally, BHVR would be making money off of SCP. Even if the DLC part was free.
Copywrite laws and IP's are very murky.

Fair. that does make sense.
But I'm missing the part of that where the problem relates to me, and not the devs.0 -
SCP-049, SCP-106, SCP-082, SCP-1062-RU, SCP-1069-RU, SCP-173 (barely possible), SCP-1249, SCP-027, SCP-062-FR, SCP-058, SCP-1018-RU, SCP-610 and many-many-many others.

That is why I think if Devs ever decide to add SCP characters into the game, they would get permission from authors of the chosen SCP and etc
0 -
I mean, absolutely they could but they would have to go through so many hoops to the point that it probably wouldn't even be worth it.

@JAWS_BDSM I've emailed the SCP licensing team, asking about this kind of stuff, and I'll be abke to get back to you soon enough :D
Though if I had to take a guess, I'd imagine an OC would be ok, but to get a pre-existing SCP like say 173 then you would need permission from the original author. I'm not sure about the SCP branding tho or their logo.

SCP-173 is especially tricky because of the original owner of the sculpture. That's why so many SCP games are beginning to create there own SCP-173 model.

SCP-106 fits so damn good in the game.
What if the entity was actually the one who gave him his powers? what if the dimension he travels to is shared with the entity?
Would be neat IMO

I want this boi

Thank you.

HELL YEAH. We already have some similar powers like Freddy's teleport (they way he emerges from a blood pool near gen) and Demogorgon's portals.
BTW, here's my view on what SCP-106 could be: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/51350/scp-106-as-a-killer

N U T .

scp 096 would be very possible
0 -
more like scp-106. 096 is not the one who attacks first. But reverse-ghostface is funny.

SCP? Is this some Slenderman fanfic-type stuff?
0 -
have fun.
P.S. what do you have against Slenderman?
0 -
Nothing against Slenderman. I glanced at the Wikipedia page, and I'm just wondering if SCP has the same sort of roots. It would be pretty different than adding a big movie or TV franchise to the game.
0 -
You should check this out for yourself. I have never read any Slenderman Fanfiction besides a few stories with "Evidences".

Slenderman is a made-up creepypasta thing from the Something Awful forums. I was asking if SCP is essentially the same type of thing, like where did it come from originally?
0 -
Idk, It all started from "SCP-173". I`m bad at descriptions, so I really advise you to find out yourself.

I mean in the new game monster prom 2 “Which is a paid game” scp 173 is a character that shows up in it. So I don’t think copyright is a problem.
1 -
Yes i could see it POSSIBLE but will it happen no i believe not due to the fact that most SCP's don't. Hurt victims just kill them plus the SCP fanbase isint as big yet to gain some major publicity the devs added a stranger things chapter because that fanbase is huge and almost instantly recognizable and i don't even like stranger things but the game developers knew how popular stranger things is and put it in their game because it would get them alot of players and momey by the time the DLC is released so yes a SCP chapter could be possible but ultimately I do NOT see it happening in the game

What he meant is that the SCP Foundation has a rule that allows people to use their properties as long as they don't profit from it
So if it was a free for all chapter like Last Breath was then it would be acceptable
Even if an SCP chapter brings new players to the game but the license itself is not sold for money, like all other licensed chapters, it should be fine

I ll be happy to see some SCP related content. Damn, even SCP logo will make me happy

SCP-096 Would be the most likely candidate. But HE's SUPPPER FAST when angry... sooo....
Take that as a Power?

There's plenty of humanoid SCPs
http://www.scp-wiki.net/system:page-tags/tag/humanoid
Most of the actual SCPs are owned and distributed by individuals, though, which causes a bit of a problem when it comes to individual ownership. The easiest solution would be to have ambiguous connection and adaptations of existing SCPs, rather than direct translation - Trapper being a knockoff Jason, Legion being a knockoff Ghostface, etc.

They can't make money off of anything on the SCP content on the site (If you upload you lose the right to monetize any writing you've uploaded so a third party definitely doesn't have that right). The fact that DBD is a paid game cuts it off entirely. They'd have to make it free to play in its entirety before releasing anything scp related. They could still have paid dlc chapters I believe, but nothing that could even remotely reference or relate to SCPs.
Basically I'm saying no. A company isn't going to give up a huge chunk of it's revenue for like one or two creatures from an online site.

There'd be a lot of hate if creative commons work was commercialised, as an expansion to a game.
