Does breaking dull totems give the killer a notification?

I've played this game for a year and a couple months, reached rank3 as a survivor and 5 as a killer. Now, I've never really got to asking this question. I politely ask, does it give the killer any notification? I should already know this silly question, but...

    Only if they have..Haunted Ground, I think is the Perk? It alerts the Killer if someone is cleansing, but I'm not sure if it alerts on cleansing Dull totems.

    Only Thrill of The Hunt lets Killers know when a dull totem or Hex totem has been destroyed or is actively being cleansed.

    Thanks, I'm always getting creeped out by the sound of breaking dull totems, kinda is the reason I refuse to break them in the first place.

    Thrill of the Hunt only notifies the killer when a Hex totem is being cleansed. Dull totems take longer but do not notify the killer. Dull totems never notify the killer. They can hear you cleansing them though, from around 8m away I'm guessing but idk for sure.

    No but they can hear the sound effect of it being broken for a decent range. TOTH gives a counter and a sound when one is destroyed but no notification.

    In general games, no, the killer doesn't know when a dull totem is being touched, nor how many are left at any point.

    Running Thrill of the Hunt, they do NOT get the alert for someone touching a dull totem, only hexes, however they lose a stack from the perk when one breaks which they hear as a ping, with no information where that happened.

    With Thrill of the Hunt, it's important to cleanse dull totems as it is safe, and lowers the cleanse time on the hexes to be able to break them without being caught.

    Only with Thrilling but if the killer is decently close to you and the totem breaks they can hear that pop

    I wouldn't advice to do dull totems when you know the killer is close. I only can speak for myself, but i can hear the cleansing around like... 10 meters? And i'm changing targets quick.

    Killers can hear a totem being cleansed at a range of 16m with the sound being louder the closer you are (I'm not sure if this was changed to 20m feel free to correct me anyone).

    The killer does not hear anything when a dull totem is cleansed unless they are running Thrill Of The Hunt. If you are running TOTH you will hear a little chime of sorts each time a dull totem is cleansed but you won't know which one.

    Is important to know that when you break it completely, the totem does a kind of explosion. It doesn't give any audio-visual pop up notification, but is possible to see an effect around the totem that expand and the sound is decentely loud if the killer is near enough. You should be able to see this as a survivor if you pay attention... i know, probably is hard to understand what i am describing, but you should be able to notice it by yourself

    Dull totems don't give the killer any notification unless they're using Thrill of the Hunt and see the counter go down

    Killers will however see a shimmer when a totem is cleansed for an instant if in line of sight

    If the killer is near they hear the final snap of the totem breaking. I'm sure there is a tiny snap noise but it's not directional or anything.
