What is going on with matchmaking, how is this fair

Yeah. DBD's matchmaking is weird. If you are at high ranks, you'll be most likely playing with low ranks against a high rank killer. It generally works that way. You'll basically always carry the team. Lol

In my case i ussually did at times and i am ussually the last to surviver

Everyone was on the floor and died. Infinite tier 3 Myers, they were crawling everywhere and not recovering, got one hooked, the end XD

Yup carry the team or be sneak and leave crossing fingers and hope for the best
