Killer quits = I DONT GET ANYTHING
This is so bad. I hate it when I successfully beat a killer down so hard he quits when no gens are left I don’t get anything

You do get something, even if they dc you get to keep your item and points. But sometimes I hear that items don't stay which is a bad bug and they should fix that

this is a common problem for me. I wish they would add some sort of bp bonus if the killer dcs or something like that.

Yea, two days ago I had 3 killers DC in the span of 3 hours and I didn't pip. I did double pip once though which is interesting and should actually happen every time a killer DC's.

If the killer leaves the match you get your points. If the killer DC's you get nothing
0 -
Then there would be endless threads complaining about being skyrocketed to Red Ranks
0 -
Well, if a Survivor DC's near the beginning of a match, the Killer usually de-pips, so at least it's fair.
0 -
That would be so easily abused.
0 -
@Masantonio At least pip. How would it be abused un less the killer actively does so? Why would the killer do that?
0 -
People would dodge lobbies until they got into one with their friends. Boosting to the max.

Not every time.
Yesterday a Killer DCed in my game after all Gens were done. I got 0 BP, a Blackpip (would have been a Pip, because strangely I only got Silver Unbroken, it should have been Iridescent Unbroken, since I never went down) and my Offering was gone. Its bad enough that you can depip when the Killer quits during the Match and you did not do enough for a Blackpip at this point. But getting exactly nothing out of it is not cool at all.
This is a Contender for my personal "Bullshit post of the year".

If a Survivor DC's on their first down, you will probably get Iri GateKeeper. Maybe Gold Malicious. Doubtful you'll get any Devout or Chaser score.

That part of your Post is 100% correct. In my opinion, once one player DCs, nobody in the Trial should Depip, everyone should at least get the Blackpip. But the part about being fair is nonsense, Bullshit on one side does not justify Bullshit on the other side (or in your words: makes it fair).
1 -
Well, it is kinda fair when you look at it that way. BS does indeed equal BS. However, I totally agree with your suggestion, except that SWF would abuse this, a lot.
1 -
@Masantonio With so many people playing, I think that would not be worth it for one pip
0 -
SWF does not have to be a topic in every Thread.
I mean, there can be some restrictions to it. Like people who are on their Third Hook would not count for that. A Killer gets his Sacrifice, while having two Hooks before and Survivors will have one less in their team anyway, regardless if they DC on their last Hook or simply die because they have been hooked.

I don't think you're naïve enough to believe your own words.

If the Killer quits on PS4, the survivor gets nothing. It will show you what points you earned at the end-game screen, but when you exit out you still have your old balance, with nothing new added and your Offering is now consumed. You only keep the offering if someone leaves during loading and the match ends right as it begins.

@Masantonio what? Would you jump lobbies and wait like 4 minutes minimum to get into a lobby just to pip. You know lobbies can take like 10 minutes to find sometimes. Lol you trying to use naive and some other bs to counter my point I don’t even know what that means lool

No it’s not. it’s different when the game is almost over.
0 -
I'm having the same problem except it is every game the killer DC
0 -
Yeah, the game's supposed to give the survivors the bloodpoints they earned if the killer disconnects, but for some reason that's not the case currently.
I've had a few games (on PC) where me and the three other survivors pretty much stomp the killer (because the matchmaking is currently pretty messed up as well) and then the killer rage quits and none of us get anything.

This is indeed an issue (on Console at least) and has been for so long that these forums weren’t even in use at that point. I’ve reported it at least three times in the past, best we got was a fix that lasted about two patches before it broke again.
I'm pretty sure it’s to do with the killer disconnecting by any means that isn’t the leave match button. It sucks when it happens especially when the killer is causing a game to be a complete waste of time for those unfortunate enough to still be participating. Not much can be done I’d imagine at this point.

Im lucky if I even get to keep my bloodpoints when a killer DCs. This game is so buggy I usually just lose everything and depip. And no it’s not just a visual bug, I restart my game and it’s still the same.

Just to reiterate what others have said, this is a bug on console only and does not exist on PC. If a console killer DCs (in a very specific way that the forum rules would not allow me to say), you lose all your accumulated points and do not get 5000 escape points. If you see a points accumulation at all, it will be the points you obtained from the games before the one that had the DC, but the points will NOT be added to your total. You also lose all your crap.
This is largely anticipated to be fixed with dedicated servers.

That's not true. Right now you get 0 points when killer DCs on PC as well. No clue how it's done but it can happen.

@Shirokuro - Ok that is interesting, I've seen plenty of discussions about this and the PC players are usually completely unaware of the bug. I suspect its because the way you take away the survivors points with your "DC" is easier to implement on a console. On a PC you would have to climb under your desk.
