Just started playing killer for the 1st time
Why are so many swf who use insta heals with borrowed/prove thyself, decisive, adrenaline, dead hard/balanced landing in rank 14?
I mean I am not mad since they could have just played for the 1st after rank reset, but its getting frustrating to play as I am trying to get better at killer without the game ending in 3 minutes. I will keep trying to get better tho.
My question is: Is it common for more skilled people to be at this rank or am I just unlucky?

Also , if you do not lobby dodge, you end up playing SWF groups that everybody else has been lobby dodging. Because they get lobby dodged every evening, they have little opportunity to get to the rank they belong and you end up playing an imbalanced number of toxic swf groups.
I see Mrs JawsIsTheNextKiller's toxic SWF group sat there for an hour waiting for someone to accept 4 Blendettes with toolkits and instaheals and she says, "Why can't I get a game?", and then good guy/gal @About8Genjis takes the challenge! Good on you.

@JawsIsTheNextKiller insta heals = insta downs, killers shouldn't complain about that esp killer mains like Mr Mushwin and when i play swf, we are the most innocent survs out there :)

Instaheals are fine in my eyes. :) Learning dbd in general can be very frustrating.

@Mushwin - Just wait, insteals will lose their insta-status soon using the new mechanics introduced with the Second Wind perk! Hopefully. Maybe?

Second Wind introduces a timer so it heals you, but not immediately. The devs could conceivably copy and paste the mechanics into the Instaheal code.
Although that would break the sound and stop dead hard from working.

In those swf games, not even one, but these are my first games against high skilled survivors after all. Its just a bit frustrating to see them at this rank.

Just use NOED like a normal killer. It helps combat the gens being done too fast

Always find it amusing how people dodge SWF say that SWF is OP and have never really had the chance to play against them or learn tactics. They wound rather dodge most days then actually learn.

Theyd bug out some random super weak perk, which would then completely by coincidence turn super popular.

A lot of people use those perks and stuff in all ranks. They're meta for a reason. Even solo survivors do this.

Killers are a lot more likely to be deranking than Survivors. I run into a deranking killer every few games. I have never seen a Survivor purposefully de-rank in a game.

You’re not unlucky. You’re NEW at playing Killer. Yes Survivors who have been playing Survivor most likely will outplay you.

Sad part is that there meta because a lot of people need those perks to compliment a playstyle they are not that good at. I've seen some of the best loopers and killers running perks people dont ever use.

Good loopers don't even need perks to loop.
I learned to loop recently and I don't use any of the usual perks. The only looper perk I use is Balanced Landing, I sometimes use it because it's just so good for looping on certain maps.
I always spec with dumbass builds, you know ones with No Mither, Flip Flop and Tenacity.
I wouldn't say I'm good at looping but I can waste some of the killer's time even basically perkless (sometimes even at a disadvantage like when I have No Mither on).
But I think people who are good at looping and use the perks can really ruin a killer's night by extending the chase for minutes. It's these people using DS and Dead Hard that really ruin a killer's night.

Agreed I just wanted to point it out. I have recently gotten better at a looper. Still super inconsistent about it though. Sometimes I have days I can't loop for 10 seconds and others I can loop all 5 gens. Least I'm starting to get to where I can loop for a full gen guaranteed anymore. I only use BL when I have a spot open since it opens so many loops. Exhaustion perks make me more cocky then I should be.

People intentionally derank for easier games. BHVR has featured streamers called "fog travelers" who do this even and in turn normalize the behaviour.
Rank is fairly meaningless due to this.

All I'm saying they get rid of insta heals. They should make noed a timer thing to. Just saying.
Facts they need to make rank a permanent thing. Like in sections. If they did that it would fix alot of things.

Yes someone who already knows how to play survivor will easily get to rank 15 as a new killer.

oh yeah i can get to rank 5 if i want, but i never knew that you could get from rank 20 - 14 in one game? what kind of drug is that?

Inconsistencies tend to be based on the skill level of the killer.
Also, a lot of looping is based on luck. Successfully guessing where the killer goes is a big part of it, unless the killer isn't mindgaming and just strictly chasing after you relying on Bloodlust or doing the Myers Enduring thing.

You want to get better as killer but you are complaining about people using some of the meta perks?
You will keep seeing these perks because Camping and Tunneling are a thing in this game. So I would suggest to start learning how to play around them. Not every match is suppose to be a cakewalk.

this is such bullshit dude, at somepoint no matters when you are going to get caught by the killer because of bloodlust, you obviously need perks, ######### is the use of that miss leading comment? if you can do it doesnt mean everyone can. if a bad player sees your comment he will try perkless looping and probably mess up so much, he wouldnt want to play anymore, just like my friend that told me about this post.

It can be very frustrating, and to an extent it is just bad luck that you're being matched with R14s at R20. But even though it's annoying it can help to think of it this way: you will lose constantly at first, but you will get better much faster by playing against people who are better than you because you're forced to learn to adapt.
