Add more use to the key

I get that you can attach stuff so you can see auras, but like it’s only used to open hatch. Can’t there be something else?

    Open chests x quicker - which is actually logical for a key

    Cleanse totems x quicker

    etc.


    The aura reading is necessary for keys.

    Wouldn't mind it having some "seeking" addons which point you to the nearest object, similar to a map. things like players, gens, hatch etc. also make keys only lootable via chests with plunderers. turn it into a seeking tool with the ultimate ability to survive early.

    also wouldn't mind maps being reworked to always exhibit their auras, and instead track based on what you see - as in you use the map whilst viewing something, and you will always see its aura. have the crystal bead be ultra rare and there to be a rare survivor addon, that gives you global auras if you find them. limit map usage to 7ish seconds default and change the black lock one to reveal the hatch early, and for the range ones to increase the range that objects can be seen when the maps not being channeled. have the killer belongings basekit and only highlight if their within x metres of the player(4-6m), and have its addon increase its range, have it take a charge upon revealing a trap. turn maps into a highlighting tool, that is anti trap active in its use, and allows the active tracking of objects and people

    Not sure about what you've said but...

    Keys, especially broken keys, should appear with add-ons without Plunderer or Ace in the Hole. They're useless otherwise.

    Maps and keys should also only be consuming charges once they are active. This is something that was never fixed and still needs to be addressed. I fail to understand why the devs don't think this is a issue.

    Base maps also need to be buffed, I want to see crystal beads used more often. But it never is. Namely because the map is so reliant on add-ons to be good. Or you need a rainbow map.

    8 meters is pathetic, especially since it only tracks gens. Make one of the range add-ons base and allow maps to track more gens at once. Tagging them is nice but it should possibly reveal all gen auras instead. Or automatically tag gens within a certain distance.

    Spotted the Tru3 fan.

    Keys are so unreliable when it comes to hatch escapes, as the user is much more likely to die beforehand or be unable to find the hatch.

    "Reveal the Killer" Have you... SEEN the key add-ons?

    That add-on burns through charges quick, and don't forget you have to spend precious charges "channeling" it before you actually see the auras. It also only reveals Killer in a certain range. You could probably SEE the Killer within said aura range.

    If that's "so damn strong", why does nobody use key? Much less those add-ons?

    Oh, right, because the key burns through charges before you can even USE it, broken keys are worthless without add-ons and they aren't as strong as med-kits and toolboxes without add-ons!
