So I don't get screwed over as much if I screw up and accidentally hit the guy on the hook instead of the guy trying to rescue him. Am I understanding this correctly?

It's a buff to killers against stupid hook saves, man. I'd trade some stupid BM for a direct buff against overly altruistic survivors anyday.

Ikr? The one thing which was really fun to do against someone teabaggers is gone. So sad.
It's actually just a buff for camping. Previously you could bait the killer with tapping and running through the hook. Now it doesn't matter. Just swing. Either you miss but you will have the shorter cool down and have the potential to grab afterwards.. Or you hit and well, down the hook swarmer. It's a win win for campers.

I prefer it as it stands on the Xbox where if I fudge up there are potential game altering consequences.

And boy does it work... I've lost more than a few matches because of it. As a Killer main I enjoy that aspect of it. Make me pay for my mistakes.

I actually use it to shut the survivors up when I hook them, they scream for eternity otherwise and it's annoying.

It's a huge buff to camping; for that alone I hope it's a bug that gets fixed ASAP (lol a bug getting fixed quickly in DBD...)
Just remove autoaim to no longer cuck us when we should hit survivors, please :(

Why have they done this? If I hookslap someone then they know they gave me a good chase! I don't use it to be toxic. What next, remove teabagging? It's all part of the fun.

I just moonwalk in front of people. It's done the job pretty well so far

Revert it back ! And if it's because of the New perk then completely change it because .. At its current state .. it's useless .. 34 seconds won't make the killer avoid camping but they'll camp even harder .
The only way sometimes to unhook a camped Survivor is to bait the killer into hitting the Hooked Person .. putting them in attack Cool down animation and then unhooking . Now with this taken out of the game and that new Perk does not compensate for it unless it had a timer like Corrupt intervention 2 minutes or so . Which will never happen.
So it's basically a Buff to camping . How about Combining this passive effect with even Save the Best for last ?
I had a Game as Hag with save the best for last in Grim pantry map and This guy looped me around for at least like 2 minutes the I hooked him in the basement and his team Swarmed the Hook to save him And I kept getting reduced attack cool down each time I'd hit someone .
Now with this change it's gonna be even more powerful and Deny survivors from unhooking camped Survivors.
So My Message to Devs take out this useless new anti-camping perk "Camaraderie" and keep the Cool down as it is .
