Not sure if he is op, but he definitely is a viable killer.

No he's not.
I feel like he's pretty good. Not OP but definitely high mid tier. His map pressure is insane and his pounce is really good for mindgames. Pallets are extremely unsafes against him. Just kinda wished that he could destroy old portals himself so he can place another one.

The lunge actually appears to be useful. Almost like a short Nurse blink that doesn't pass through objects. I bet it'll be nerfed, unfortunately.

I demand an purple rarity add on which plays the music mapwide constantly. Just to make it harder to determine whether the killer is near or not. Would make it really tense.

The killer seems to be in a good place atm but it's only been a few hours. Mind game potential and map pressure are there.
I think the did an amazing job with the animations. When his head opens like petals, when he digs into a portal and when he is emerging all look fantastic.
The sounds also are quite scary and well done.
I am pleased with him right now but again time will tell once everyone gets used to playing with and verse them.

Huge map pressure. Definitely not as strong as Billy but i'd consider it slightly stronger than Hag's. Huge mindgame possibility. Decent chase ability. Can make long loops very unsafe. Also extremely powerful inside the shack. His ability doesn't counter small loops tho and you're heavily punished if you misjudge the distance of his pounce. Overall I'd say he is high mid tier on a similar level to Myers. Maybe slightly stronger.

He's an M1 Killer with a good Lunge. A bad Hag or Trapper.
Basically; you can't protect your portals:
Any damage done to them stays done to them. They don't heal over time, and you can't heal them. SWF groups WILL use voice comms to let people know when you teleport, at which point they can and WILL clear out your portals while your skill is on cooldown. And they are fast enough to do it, too.
You will then spend time replacing that portal, at which point they are clearing OTHER portals, or doing gens.
The detection on the portals is TINY:
I placed a portal inches from a generator. I looked at that portal with my focus power whatever. I never saw the Survivor because he was on the other side of the generator. The thickness of the gen (width, not length) is wider than the portal's detection.
I know he was there because I was staring that way with the power up when he popped the gen.
Since the portals are basically useless, what about his lunge?
The Lunge is map-dependant:
If you get a map with lots of sharp turns, or pallets every 2 inches of map space, his lunge is useless. You won't be able to charge it before they drop a pallet or go around a corner. And it takes a second to charge AND slows you down while doing so.
So, basically, he's an M1 Killer with 2 powers; one is absolutely never to be used (Portal), since it's just a waste of time, which is not the Killers friend. The other (Lunge) is very map dependant. And his home turf map has LOTS of sharp corners & safety pallets. So his own map is one of the worst maps he can get.
Once again: The devs have made a Killer with a built-in counter..and given most the power to the Survivors. He's a BP farm for survivors. Have fun giving 4 people a ton of BP, get 0 kills, get smack-talked in the end game chat, and move on to do it again.

I believe Demogorgon can have up to 6 portals (Up to 8 from Add-ons). The Portals are immune to destruction until Demogorgon has atleast used them once. Their is a minimum distance you can place portals from eachother and from hooks. Its Lunge also called Shred is extremely good due to how fast it is but its no good against pallets as you can still get hit with them. oh also holding the Power Button lets you see killer instict if survivors are near a portal. All around a decent killer.

Honestly, it's too early too say if he is even viable. He has potential, sure, but until it hits live there is no way too tell for sure.
I love him TBH, his kit is fun and the sounds and animations he has is top notch, gonna be my next p3 killer for sure.

Well that's great if his ability really helps shutting down loops. I was scared it didn't, but he seems like he could be another nicely viable killer who's on Freddys level, which would be perfect.

I've seen some live streams and the chase music and the rawrs are good enough to make me tense.
