I am a rank 11 killer
Atleast 2 red ranks in every match that i play, super annoying. They think they are the best just because this MM is hot garbage and they think they are the best.
I started to play again because of the new chapter but for sure will leave the game before that. MM being that trash is just not fair, if i want i can derank and bully other begginers and it won t be fair. And that s what i think i will do, after i got to rank 13 they can t find survivors of my rank and just put me in lobbies with red ranks (after atleast 5 minutes to create a lobby). So derank is the way to go if i can t find a match in a resonable amount of time and also it won t place me in a match with players of my rank.

The devs said they are working on it. Take a break until it's fixed if you can't handle it. Not trying to be rude or mean, if it's screwing you over, just wait until it gets fixed.

I don t have a problem with more skilled players but as i saw 80% of them are BMers that just T bag and pop the flashlight on and off if they see you are a begginer which is pure garbage (if i camp them after the gates are open, comment on profile with -rep CAMPER/TRASH KILLER and it happen only with the higher ranks since they are tryhard af and they think all the time all 4 survivors should escape).

Honestly you're not the only one, my friend who is rank 10 fights rank 2's on a consistent basis, even more than me and I'm a rank 4, It doesn't make any sense. Why do I get purple ranks mixed with greens and he gets reds and purples?

@RIP_Legion Peanits said they're aware of it, and don't know yet what went wrong with matchmaking. The team is looking hard into it, but don't have anything to report to us, yet.
It wasn't something they tweaked or did on their end, so how and why the issue has popped up is what they're searching for.
Well, I hope they find and fix it before the DLC drops, or delay the DLC if not. Because with MM like this, I seriously doubt they will retain any new DbD players. Even I am not touching this game or the DLC until it is fixed, and fixed right.

I getcha, I honestly figured it's more of a lack of people at a certain rank at the wrong time. Like for example if there aren't enough rank 4 killers in the queue when there are a lot of red rank survivors the matchmaker becomes more lenient. Not sure if I said that right I'm kinda tired. @RIP_Legion I was wondering the same thing at first. But at least here on PC, the steam chart numbers haven't gone down in the past two weeks (when this MM fiasco started), and actually went up by about 2k daily peak during that time.
So, that made me start to question my lack of player hypothesis. Then Peanits responded in a couple of threads that something is broken, happened unexpectedly, and they're trying to track it down.
Given how much code is no doubt behind the matchmaker, I imagine it isn't an easy find considering they didn't do anything to it that could have caused the mess-up, so don't really have a point of reference to start from.
I've no doubt they'll eventually find it and fix. It isn't like they have an option after all, as it would hurt the game otherwise. And they wouldn't want that on a normal day, never mind with the massively hyped Stranger Things DLC coming down the pipe already. I'm just playing other games until they get it fixed. I'm a low-skill, low-rank casual and only occasional player. This MM is unplayable for me.
