new killer doesnt fit in dbd
i dont know why but having this demon thing now in dbd doesnt feel right. every single killer before is/was a human. the demogorgon is may be a humanoid but that doesnt make it right. he is out of place and doesnt belong in dbd imo. not as stand alone "monster" at least. so maybe add more things like him now to make it more believable. i would love to see a xenomorph next maybe.

I always described this game as a slasher simulator. Now I don't even know what to call it anymore with this Flowey looking guy in the game right now.
Not that I'm complaining though, Flowey is cool and fun to play.

You still call it slasher simulator. Hell...Alien is a slasher movie, but the killer is not human (kinda...xenomorph biology is weird).
Nothing about slashers means they have to be human.

Here's what I would consider a test to see if any given movie is a slasher.
Does the movie stays mostly the same if you replace the killer with a regular human?
With Alien, I say yes... we lose the facehuggers scenes and the birth of the alien, but everything else works.
Also works with predator.
Doesn't work on the Thing. The way the creature works is way too important

Technically, it doesn't need to make sense, because the Entity is pulling killers from more and more realities. There can be a reality that has demogorgons that they pulled it from. Who knows, and more importantly, who cares?

Let's face it, this is a glorified (gorified?) game of tag with the bonus of being able to role-play our favorite slasher/horror killers and survivors. I don't think you should take it so seriously.
Expanding to popular franchises like stranger things is a great move, as the PR/exposure alone should hopefully allow the playerbase to continue growing. And that's good for all of us.

people were kidnapped and put in an alternate dimension where they are being attacked by people wearing masks, now they are being attacked by a monster from another dimension...the monster sounds more accurate then the serial killers imo.

I get what you're saying but in order to open the doors for werewolves, xenomorphs and other such inhuman creatures (I want a fishman) we have to start somewhere and the first one was always going to feel a little out of place. Give it time.
