Bring back the awesome hooks
Please. With the release of the new DLC demigorgon gets crazy awesome looking hooks. This makes me really miss when the hooks changed with the killer. It really doesn't give away that much info because you usually know who the killer is within the first 15 seconds of the match. Even as a killer, this would fantastic. It's a minor detail but one that was simply fantastic. I know they're dependent on maps but I would much prefer to have it tied to killer.

Yeah I feel like the map specific hook thing had only really an impact on solos. Swf groups will communicate to the whole team who the killer is in the first 10 seconds of the game (for the most part).

Exactly. Even if not SWF you can tell if it's quite a few killers simply from the sound.

Simple, BHVR stop making skins for a bit and put some effort and work into the map designs. It's technically the same branch because it's designing. Let's be real for a second too, they've dropped so many skins lately that their wallets have to be fat right now.

for ghosty the hooks could have grey ribbon tied to the hook that floats in the air around it, like ghosty's outfit has. or maybe they could have security cameras on them

I'd say avoid this... For many killers, the initial view of a survivor is critical. If all survivors KNEW it was a Myers as soon as they spawned in, RIP getting out of T1.

They could reuse the BBQ/grill hooks from the Summer Event last year for Bubba, seems fitting for him.

If you need your hooks hidden to be a stealthy myers then you're not a good myers. Just saying. Same for any stealth killer. It doesn't really matter if your stealth or not, you're gonna get seen eventually and when you do poof. There's a multitude of ways to remain stealthy.

Unfortunately the team that works on skins are around 20 people, meanwhile the team that works on the game are around 7 or 6 people..... which is pretty sad.

I would actually like this too, I wasn't around during the early PC days when this was a thing, I would love to see it make a come back. But Killers like Clown, Plague, Leatherface and Ghostface don't have they own relams for hooks though.

It's entirely 2 different areas, level & map design is totally separate from the cosmetic design.

i dont really like the excuse of "then you'll know who the killer is". i mean, thats the case in the first 10 seconds for a few killers. cant tell you how many times, just as im spawning, i go "oh hey, its Trapper" or, "oh hey, its pig". or a couple seconds after spawn "oh cool Billy" or, "oh man Nurse". like some killers you'll know right away anyways.

Often times, loud killers are the ones who dont care if there position is known. Nurse screams everytime she blinks, making it easy to keep track of her. She'll likely give away her position (and identity) anyway within 2 seconds of the game starting. The killers who rely on stealth are the ones more affected. If you KNOW its a Myers as soon as you spawn in, youll know not to rely on your spinechill right away. If everyone knew they were facing him right away, hed be stuck in T1 forever...

thats not necessarily true though. you can know its pig or trapper right away, you can still get ambushed, still step in a trap outside of a chase. and for Myers you dont have to stalk when they dont see you. you can stalk mid chase, i often do. I feel like Ghostface would suffer a lot more from this than Myers, but he doesnt even have a hook design to go with him.

Chasing anyone while moving at 105% speed is brutal, and getting any meaningful stalk from it is pretty much impossible.

i mean i guess i havent played at higher ranks so i wouldnt really know the pain too much... still, i just dont like that Pig, Trapper, and Plague get the short end of the stick when it comes to the mystery of what killer it is.

Its not as bad for Trapper, since his traps are easier to glance over, but I understand. This hook idea would simply give EVERY killer the same short end of the stick. Those 3 arnt too overly crippled though by knowing their identity. Even if Pig fails to get you with a sneak attack, the ambush lunge is actually pretty handy mid chase. For Trapper, the biggy is to make sure no one is sneaking around you and seeing where your placing traps...which whispers is great for that.

Then redirect your money into the actual game instead of just making your wallets fat. It's that easy. Yes, we love cosmetics. Yes, we love that you guys want to make the game "pretty". At some point you people have to realize that skins aren't the only things we want. There's a plethora of changes that could be made that everyone can see without paying for that would be fantastic. But I get it, you guys just want more money off of us.

Honestly they don't even need to tie the hooks to a specific killer, just randomly choose from a selection during the map loading screen.
