Why did they remove spirit close-up counterplay ?
When you used to be 6 or 12m away from the spirit, she used to have an audio cue when she was phasing. Why did they remove it ?

It wasnt newly made. They were around on release but never used.

Nope. She has counterplay, more than Nurse. Could use a tiny but not massive nerf tho.

Ohh ok. I don't like how stuff just disappears completely so there is no context for comments left behind. Like there should at least be "User: Comment Removed" or something.

Yea, but then that raises questions and I don't think the devs/mods really like when people talk about bans as it states to not discuss them. And having something like that would provoke people to ask questions about it. Especially if the person who got their comment removed got their name shown still.

Because people think that standing still as spirit is the greatest and most big brain mindgame in the game ontop of being the most engaging, dynamic, and deep gameplay in the game

They can ignore people asking and if it gets out of hand then delete more comments or close the thread. It's confusing to come into a thread later and some of the comments make no sense because the context was removed without any trace. Leaving behind some kind of text like "Comment Removed: Insulting Others" would fix that and encourage accountability.
Not saying any mods here and now would abuse their power, but it's not like it's never happened on a forum before. Some more transparency would be ideal.

Yea transparency would be nice. Mostly the mods seem cool but I've seen some questionable bans on the forums as well.

Spirit does have counterplay. It’s called dance with me, spine chill, and scratch juking. And spine chill and dance with me are both fairly common.

While I think the spirit is balanced. The counterplay you listed is like saying old MoM is okay. If you want counterplay just use insta downs! Scratch Juking won't work against a spirit either.

Theres no way in hell that DBD is going to die when they just released their best work that's going to attract a massive amount of players..... at this point the game is going to die when the devs pronounce it dead

Scratch juking is actually the best way to juke her.... one can run IW but if you still dont attempt a scratch juke and keep running you'll get smacked down..... it's better to manipulate your scratch marks in an unpredictable way.... which is way more possible at places with lots of LoS breakers

because apparently every spirit main thinks if survivors receive any form of counter play to her in their base kit she'll be garbage

A scratch juke would only work at far range situations. Otherwise the Spirit will hear you if she is good.

Why shouldn't the survivors have to question whether spirit is using her power or not?....... heres the thing if survivors got any sort of info on her using phase theyll just walk in a direction, which is the samething they can do now only its actually a question of whether she is using it or not...

It is annoying to face mostly spirits every match and there's no counterplay unless you run a perk specifically to counter the spirit. I think there should be something to let you know she started phasing like an audio cue or an animation. Every spirit I face just stands still at every loop and it's annoying but I play both sides and I don't want her nerfed but most killers have an animation when they use their power and I think the spirit should have an animation as well.

You scratch mark juke any killer while their breaking a pallet, after vaulting a window and theres plenty of perks to enhance this as well...
